Sandhill Wines

We visited Sandhill during the week and had the most perfect wine tour guide named Kiara. Amazing service and experience! I highly recommend paying this winery a visit!

This wine tasting experience left us with a bad taste in our mouths! The first moments were lovely, you get a sample as you walk in. With 3 adults and 2 children they said just sit at the bar if you’d like a wine tasting. We sat at the bar and she brought over colouring and a “tasting” for the kids. It was 3oz of sparkling apple raspberry juice. The kids loved it. The wine samples we got were average size and average taste, nothing stood out. The guy serving us was new, he didn’t have a lot of experience, information or flare. But the shock came when we got the bill for our wine tasting!! It was $63 !!For maybe 5oz of wine they charge $16 .. ok we should have asked since we were doing a wine tasting. But the biggest shock was the $8 each for the kids tasting !!! The whole bottle only cost $9 !! And there was no mention of a cost when she offered to bring them a sample !! Truly gobsmacked !! We will not go back .. and as new people to the Okanagan, and our friends and family visiting often, this will never be recommended!! Transparency is key !! And when we complained they just said oh well.

Stopped in to avoid the crowds from downtown on Canada Day. We had a glass of wine and a plate of bruschetta. The host was wonderful, the food and wine were great.

A longtime staple of the Okanagan/Kelowna wine resurgence scene, Sandhill Wines is a must go to for incredible wines! They have a huge selection with several tasting choices available. Their beautifully decorated and well appointed tasting room is very inviting and accommodating. From great tasting everyday wines to exclusive limited edition ones, be sure to bring home a bottle or two.

Good food, good wine, really friendly service and great atmosphere. The location is very convenient and the prices are reasonable. Would recommend their happy hour. Has a great selection of wine and also many products to choose from.

Four tasters from their White Label series for $10; five of their Small Lots wines for $20. Spacious tasting area with both tables and couches. Knowledgeable servers. (Though their dress code could be improved.)

Absolutely divine wine selection and our server Alex was full of knowledge and even dropped some pretty good one liners.The space was gorgeous, you could do cartwheels it was so open. Family friendly and they made you feel comfortable but still sophisticated!

We came for a tasting and were treated with such an odd experience…. The employee was slightly rude short and made all 5 of us feel awkward when we asked questions about our PAID tasting options. We have been to several wine tastings over our lives living in the Okanagan and were a bit taken back with an I don’t give a care attitude. Your wines are beautiful, and we did proceed to buy some product - but I hope you consider reviewing customer service points with your staff to make sure your paying guests don’t feel awkward for coming into your establishment with our hard earned money.

Our host was exceptional! Jason was fun, knowledgeable and all around great explaining the wines we sampled. We had a great tasting experience! Even though not all our group were not wine drinkers, Jason found a cold tasty 99 Pilsner to satisfy different tastes. Well done! We will certainly be back.
