I had the most wonderful experience here. This auction house is run by two long time friends who provide not only premium expertise and merchandise but a very comfortable environment. I don’t really frequent auctions for financial reasons but I didn’t feel unwelcome whatsoever. I would go back again without a doubt. The auctioneer is also quite funny and that’s just a nice bonus. I left with a beautiful Spanish rapier and a lovely old timey window.

I participated in a recent online auction of theirs and won the item I bid on. After paying for the item, I received a call the next day from their employee, Angus, who informed me that someone else also won the item I won, as they run their auctions on different websites at the same time. The other person who had somehow also won, came and picked up the paintings the day after the auction. So, a local bidder got them, and me being located in a different province...well, I guess they just didn't want to ship it. They offered me $50 bucks credit towards a future auction of theirs as a whoops sorry". I declined the credit. How could I trust that a future lot that I win wouldn't also go to a local bidder

Be careful. This place is addictive ! The staff are very helpful. The merchandise too nice. The prices reasonable .I have spent too much money there but keep going back to find more cool stuff I didn't realize I needed. Good luck to you should you venture to this place .If you do you are in luck .If you don't more stuff for me !!!

They have nice items but beware of buying electrical items, like lamps, as they sell non-working lighting in terrible condition and don't even mention anything on the description (I bought 3 lamps from them recently and had to take all of them to a repair shop, one of the lamps didn't even have a plug, I'm not kidding) Not as honest as you'd hope an auction house / reseller would be

This auction house charged you a “Buyer’s Premium”, as if it is somehow a great privilege that you are allowed to buy from them. Just think about it. Would you go into any other business and pay this. Go into any major or minor retailer. Pick say $1000;00 in merchandise. You get your sales slip and they want $1250.00 plus any applicable taxes. You show them the mistake and they tell you it is a “Buyer’s Premium”. Would you pay it? Why pay it here? The hammer price is the same as the price in a retail shop. Why are you paying a percentage more.Just something to think about.

I absolutely love going to their auctions! Even if I don't buy anything I have a great time, it's very entertaining.
