Lakeview Montessori School

My son is in his second year at Lakeview Montessori and our experience has been so wonderful! The teachers and staff are incredibly warm and welcoming and the program itself has had such a positive impact on him.Thank you especially to Christina, Corine, Ms. Cindy and Mrs. Tepe for making Hudson's transition into Lakeview's toddler and Casa programs so great! This school/staff is second to none!

I cannot say enough good things about Lakeview Montessori. All three of my children attend (Ages 5, 4 and 1) and they absolutely love it. Given the current circumstances and how challenging it’s been for everyone, my kids are thriving in the environment there. The two older kids in Casa come home happily exhausted. The routine and stability Lakeview has offered for them has been more then I could have hoped for. The things that they tell me they are learning constantly surprise and impress me. My husband and I are both healthcare workers and the flexibility and understanding by everyone involved at the school has truly made our experience a great one. Ms. Christina has gone above and beyond to accommodate us and is truly the most genuine, pleasant person to deal with. She always gets back to us so quickly and has addressed any concerns in the best possible way. I highly recommend this school and am so happy to say enrolling them was the best decision we could have made.-K. Fanelli

Our experience with this school has been nothing short of amazing. Initially, we had our daughter signed up at another daycare until a friend highly recommended Lakeview. We attended the open house and decided to give it a try - it turned out to be a GREAT decision! Now our son is also at the school and he is loving it - he adores his teachers and is learning so much every day. As a parent, there is nothing more comforting than knowing that your child is genuinely happy when they’re not at home - and the teachers that we’ve had the pleasure of working with, make sure our child’s experience is a great one. I feel as though Ms. Cindy & Ms. Michelle (and Margie, Lauren, and Jade) have become an extension of our family in a sense. Not only does my son talk about them everyday, but they are always willing to help, and even initiate, with big milestones in his life. Recently, we were able to check his ‘adventures’ in potty training off the list because of the help and encouragement he received from Ms. Cindy and his other teachers.The open communication between parent and teacher is also another reason why we love the school so much. With daily reports and casual conversation with the teachers, we are able to find out just how far our son has come since starting at Lakeview over a year ago.Overall, I am so happy with the switch we made on a whim once we visited the school a couple of years ago. Thank you so much to all the staff, especially Ms. Cindy, Ms. Michelle & Ms. Christina.

I am so beyond happy with Lakeview Montessori! My son is currently in the Casa program and has been there for about a year now. He originally went to a public school to start JK, but with everything that was going on and the constant uncertainty and changes happening, we decided to switch to Lakeview. I am grateful at how accommodating they were because it was certainly last minute and they made it happen and also made sure he was with his friends. That made the transition easier and put me at ease as a parent! We couldn’t do the online schooling given our jobs and we wanted our son to have a stable, consistent environment. His first year in JK was all over the place and I felt horrible and so anxious as a parent and not sure what to do. Thanks to Lakeview, they took him in with open arms, welcomed him and us as parents and made us feel so comfortable about our decision. He is now in a structured environment where he is thriving and I am one happy mama! He has a routine again and comes home so excited about what he has learned from the day! He is a December baby so I was always worried about how he would do compared to others, but I have seen such great progress in him since attending and I can’t believe what he is learning at his age! Thank you to the amazing staff for all that they do because they have made such an impact on our family!

The thing I don't understand is why this school keeps changing the required uniform policy every few years.If you start from kindergarten to grade 8, you might end up having 3 or more complete uniform changes which can add up to costly premiums.Imagine this, you just bought a new uniform for your child, and a week later the school does another redesign and requires that you purchase a new uniform.Also along with that, this is a private school. But in reality, the curriculum level ends up being the same as a public school.One more thing. I got kicked out for being on the autism spectrum and they dropped the budget for any support.

I have a very fond memory of a day in sk specifically casa 1 (middle classroom upstairs during like 2007/8) and where I first fell in love with math. This was a usual day and on that day my teacher (I would put a name but I cannot remember how to spell her name and do not wish to butcher it) had a massive stack of these small papers and on those papers were a template for a math question. You could put up to 4 digits for each number and you add whatever symbol you wanted +x/- then find the answer. This stack seemed to be the height of 2 of those 500 sheet blank paper or 1000 lol. At first the teacher would write a question on the paper and I would complete it. Soon it turned into me writing as hard of questions my small brain could come up with just to try and solve it. I felt unstoppable. Eventually I stopped to take a big break and stood up looking at my stack of complete questions being way bigger than the blank stack (I was sore from sitting on my hands and knees I don’t know why I chose the carpet maybe I thought I’d work harder) and went to show my teacher what I did. She hugged me and was telling me how proud of me she was but all I could think about was how I could do more math. Some parts as I was very young are cloudy but what has stuck with me all this time was the feeling I had while solving math problems. I will never forget the time I spent here and the people I met along the way.Edit: For clarification I unfortunately did not graduate from Lakeview Montessori as I left in grade 6. My time there was part of the best moments of my life

My child started this September in SK. I have to say my experience with his teachers (amazing!) and staff has been very positive. They are very attentive and my child loves going to class. They ensure to offer all kinds of activities, they work with child’s strengths and make sure to offer opportunities and support where the child needs it. I really recommend this school.

What parents at Lakeview Montessori have to say: Lakeview is a wonderful place for children to learn at their own pace. It does not feel institutional at all, it feels like a small family. The teachers are so amazing and caring. I am pleased to have my son be a part of and study in this environment!

My sons have been students at LMS for a few years now. There is honestly so much to love about this place. They come home singing classic rock songs, excitedly reciting the days of the week in French, telling me the difference between a growth mindset" and a "fixed mindset" at 5 and 3 years old. They are obsessed with the new gym and the beautiful new playground...especially the garden. My son surprised me with a carrot he planted a few months ago and he was so proud. Love their friends and adore their teachers. I'm a good radar for their emotions and pretty much everyday they are so happy. As a parent of young children in 2022

My son recently switched from the public system to Lakeview. He is thriving!! The programs, teachers and community feeling at this school are second to none. I highly recommend this school as a center for academic excellence and progressive education. Children are allowed to learn and develop at their own pace, which often leads to them being ahead in many areas. The arts, music, athletics and extracurricular programs are a high priority and there are many opportunities for children to excel. Love this school!
