Monogram Coffee

Awesome little shop.You can tell it’s popular seeing as how it’s busy all the time, and for good reason!The coffee/staff/atmosphere are all great.I must say though, the highlight of this place is the almond croissant. It has to be one of the tastiest desserts I’ve ever had in my life. I dare to say one is not enough. It’ll keep you coming back for more.Come here for the coffee, but stay for the almond croissant.

I visited this cafe as a recommendation from a co-worker, and happen to be passing by the area. The place is small (the wall in the middle of the cafe made it seem less open since it sections off one part of the seating area from the other), but had an uncluttered minimalist style, from the decor to the furniture (wooden tables, chairs, and benches). A small nitpick for me was that there were no soft comfy armchairs that you see in some cafes that you can plop down on. The staff were friendly and helpful in deciding which blend to pick for my coffee. The labels on their coffee bean bags are very informative, for example they clearly show the origin of the bean and if it is washed or unwashed process. Their pour over coffee was delicious, not too acidic. Aside from the small and a lack of an open concept layout of the cafe, I enjoyed my visit as the coffee and the service was great. I would visit again if I happen to be passing through its neighborhood.

Love the coffee at this coffee shop. Very disappointed with the amount of single use plastic that is now being used. Also disappointed to have to use my credit card( for tiny purchases) as they are not set up to take cash. Did I miss something? Is cash no longer legal tender

Great coffee experience overall. The chai latte had a lot of grit left in the bottom of the cup which wasn’t super appealing but the espresso was pulled and roasted very well.

Their subscription is awful.They recently made changes to reduce the amount of beans in each bag but still raised their prices, from $68 to $87.50, nearly 30%.There is absolutely no value of the subscription.We opted for 4 bags of the “Roaster’s Choice,” and ended up getting only 2 bags from the Wonder collection.The rest were from their low tier Warmth collectionThe total value of the four bags were $90… a grand total savings of $2.50!What a joke of a subscription.Btw, we also received a bag of coffee that was roasted on May 31, when the shipment was process on June 8.I’ll be cancelling my subscription.

The neighbourhood’s favourite coffee shop where everyone gathers. It’s rare to not run into someone you know, as everyone comes for the great coffee and snacks.

Really delicious coffee. Had a pourover from Panama which was sweet and delicious. Friendly service and a cute vibe - not a ton of seating though during busier times.

Signed up for a subscription and 40% of the coffee I received is their house blend, despite the subscription info saying it’s a great way to try new and exciting offerings.Emailed Monogram and was told that since that’s the flavour profile I picked, that’s what I get. No attempt to resolve the concern and instead suggested I change my order preference.Many roasters I’m Canada now, choose one that actually puts thought into their subscriptions and actually sends you something new and exciting.

Monogram is a must-visit in Calgary for quality coffee. The Altadore location is the most quaint and quiet but is a great place to meet for a quiet neighborhood walk or a solo-study session.
