CEFA Early Learning Coquitlam

Since my son started there about 3 years ago (from the age of 2-5 I believe), it’s been a fantastic experience. Cefa helps put your child on the track for success into kindergarten. They create structure, a classroom setting and work on so many valuable things with your children (writing, math concepts, social skills etc). They offer proper parent teacher meetings, provide detailed feedback, milestone reports, daily activity updates, app updates for your phone and so much more.We’ve had about 3-4 different classrooms, some teachers are stronger and better communicators than others, but that’s the same as any school.Yes, it costs more. But don’t cheap out parents, it’s worth it. These are the most important years for your kids.Rules are somewhat strict, but some of the reviews here are simply unfair. Would you rather a childcare Center allow kids coughing constantly, or being Ill allowed in school spreading it? Personally in the 3-4 years we’ve been there, the “strict” rules really haven’t been an issue for us.There’s a reason why there is a waitlist, because it’s worth it. Don’t get thrown off or confused by a few salty people leaving 1 star, those people are maybe the 1 % of people. Every parent I’ve ever met and talked to throughout the years has mostly great things to say, but many don’t post reviews. We’ve made so many good connections in the neighbourhood and our son will be going to kindergarten with a bunch of the kids now and will keep many friends in the area!Christina, Wiki, Sasha (as my son calls her), Diane, and Victoria have been simply amazing for my son and we will truly miss everything CEFA has offered us.

The staff and their system made me feel safe to send my daughter here even during the pandemic. Also, it was great to see my child's growth in learning here.Most importantly, she liked everything there including their food!

CEFA Coquitlam has been an absolute joy for our child as we have been attending for the past two years. The facility is very clean, safe and extremely well-organized with loving, knowledgeable, qualified and attentive staff and teachers. We have no complaints whatsoever and would send to here all our friends and family with kids without hesitation. Principal Christina has kept this facility open, safe and fun in addition to dealing with any concerns from parents very professionally and appropriately. As parents we were able to concentrate on our day-to-day activities and careers. My child came home happy every day and made lots of friends along the way - I feel he is now well-pre-pared for Kindergarten from a social aspect and has an inquiring mindset from all the mini-STEM experiments and also partly creative from the arts and crafts they did during his full-time M-F curriculum. We were on the waiting list for around a year but it was definitely well-worth the wait!

My daughter had a lot of anxiety starting preschool at age 2.5 almost 3. In fact, on the first day, she was so nervous she cried and vomited all over the lobby. The staff calmly took her in and helped her transition gently and tended to her emotional needs. It's been a wonderful time for her at this CEFA location and she has been well supported. I would highly recommend this program and preschool.

My daughter attended CEFA from aged 3 until she started Kindergarten. She loved her time there and so did her Dad and I. The staff is very professional, kind, and patient. They treat children with respect and love. They accommodated my child's dietary needs with no issues at all. They always made her feel cared for and appreciated. Her classes were model classes of how to be kind towards others. They also well prepared her for Kindergarten both socially and academically. She is excelling in Kindergarten largely because of CEFA.I never had any concerns about her time there because I know the quality of child care is extremely high. I absolutely recommend CEFA to anyone who is looking for childcare for their little one.

BEWARE: I took the tour, looked around and decided to apply and pay the $100 application fee. This was back in June 2021. I did not hear back from anyone until August 2022. WOW. That seems like a reasonable amount of time to wait to get your child into daycare. Obviously, in the year and a bit wait... we found alternate arrangements. Given the unreasonable amount of time that had passed since we applied, I requested my application fee back stating that it was unethical to take ones money and expect that they are to wait a year and 2 months. They refused. Thanks CEFA Coquitlam, I'm glad I wasted my money applying for your program.

Their teachers are academic, professional and most importantly focusing on details. If you are looking for an average daycare, it’s not your first choice by considering their tuition fee. However, if you want your kid to stay in daycare of top 20% , this is the place

Great teachers!!! My 3yr attended CEFA Coquitlam for five months. He didn't understand or speak English at all in the beginning, but the teachers helped so much!!! When we left CEFA after five months, he can understand most of the words from the teachers and can also speak much. He cried for the first week, but he quickly fell in love with CEFA and the teachers. They have clean classroom and delicious food. All the teachers are nice and full of love. The only problem for us is the distance, so we have to leave. But my son always mentions CEFA and he definitely loves CEFA.

My daughter has been attending cefa for the last 4 years and my son for 2 years. Amazing teachers and principal, clean facility, great meals and superb curriculum. Thank you Cefa Coquitlam!
