Yellow Creek Mine
Like the other reviews, it's an off-road vehicle track in to the mine. ATVs, SxSs, off-road trucks... the grocery-getter van will get hung up. Be aware that the air quality can change in the mine shaft. It's 2 kms long and only passive air exchange going on. If you take a vehicle in, don't idle it at the end while you're having a smoke!

Really cool place to go. Watch out for gate closures. Cant get there by car, atvs etc..only..or walking..steep terrain and snow in winter months.

Yellow Creek Mine
Very cool place to go that doesn't require climbing experience to check out, passive air exchange only and it's around 1 km in length so oxygen levels are noticably lower at the end, don't stay long, if you drive in don't idle. Be careful of rock fall hazards, wear a hardhat if you want to be really safe. lots to see and enjoy. bring waterproof footwear.

Yellow Creek Mine
Entered from main gate off highway (open from 8am to 8pm on Sat and Sun) (across from Loon Lake). However inner gate closed, about 3km from mine, so we walked in rest of way. Took about an hour walk from the inner gate to the entrance of the mine. So worth it, but beware of Bob, he lives in the mine and he's terrifying.

Amazing mine.The road in is only open to the public on weekends.The mine is wet and cold so dress appropriately.

Yellow Creek Mine
Amazing place to check out! The tunnel is big enough to fit a 4 runner all the way! There is an upward shaft near then end of the main tunnel that after a difficult and dangerous climb leads to a beautiful stream.
