Friendly, helpful staff. Good stock, and for the thing I wanted that wasn’t there, easy ordering. It’s a well laid-out store with more facilities (ie bottling) that I look forward to trying out. The parking is decent and the storefront was easy to find. It’s much bigger inside than it looks from the outside too.

Great place to make wine. Smooth experience and good selection of wine kits. Staff is very helpful and friendly. With a good kit and proper aging the wine can be very nice to drink.

UPDATE: The owner, Carole, has reached out to me several times to make this situation right. She was sincerely interested in my total experience and wanted to know exactly how it transpired and how I felt about it as a customer. She also informed me that the on-site making guarantee is on all products; wine, beer, and cider. It was very much appreciated that she took the time to email me back and forth until I was happy and felt better about the whole situation. I will be giving this location a second chance and I do believe that this was a one-off experience that they will use for a learning/training opportunity for the company.ORIGINAL POST:I have had good experiences in the past making multiple wine kits here, but that was not the case with my most recent time with making cider (paying for it to be made in-store).I have made this same kit at home before, and had much better results. The cider made in-store was cloudy and flat with flavour; it did not taste like any cider you buy at the NSLC. I prefer a dry cider and was told using half of the recommended sugar would obtain a result similar to a Bulwark; it was no where near that.I actually brought in a bottle to the store for them to try; after tasting I was told ‘that is how it is supposed to taste’ although they agreed it was a bit cloudy. If that is the case, buyer beware to not buy that brand or when making it for you. It is expensive for the cider to be made in-store considering the level of effort involved (when compared to the wine kits), especially given they do not have a guarantee on the end result. In fact, when I purchased it and asked for it to be made by them, the worker told me the cider kits are so easy for them and that they basically just ‘babysit them’.I was not at all happy with the result and they did nothing for me. Remember - they made this kit for me. They have no guarantee on beer and cider, just the wine; buyer beware again.Customer satisfaction is not a priority here. Going to go to somewhere else for my next kit.

Staff is helpful and eager to help. They have a great selection of products. They have all the tools you could want for bottling, well worth the price. Sign up for their spam email and they will email you when they have sales. Have yet to get a bad batch from them, they really know what they are doing. To top it off they have a loyalty program that have some awesome savings.

I will spare the details, but on our way out of the store last night, we made a mess of glass and wine. The staff were more than helpful and provided us with customer service that was above and beyond our expectations. Sorry for the mess and thank you for the awesome service. You made our day!

Staff here are typically willing to help. However, it seems neither staff nor management have been trained to deal with anything other than a happy customer. I recently bought two batches of beer and had the beer brewed in store at the same time. One of the batches turned out with very little carbonation, and a number of bottles were completely flat. When I brought my concern to the store, I was met with a great deal of arguing & defensiveness & was made to feel that I was the problem. Not once did the manager or staff member express regret that my time & money had been wasted, nor was any compensation offered. Thankfully there are numerous other stores offering the same type of service, but with much better understanding of customer service.
