Village Square Library

The library and its services are wonderful and I'm happy to have one so close and central to my community. I appreciate that CPL is getting kids interested in the library early, but the kids are so dang loud. Due to the open design of the library it makes it really hard to escape the noise and find a place to study or read. Even with headphones. The few other CPL libraries that I've been to have generally been quiter.All I hope is that future library projects have the kids area more separated so that the rest of the library can be quieter.

I really love this library. Airy space for my kid. Many desks for reading books or working on assignments. Very helpful staff. I visit this library almost once per week.

Walked in hoping to let my two year old play in the kids area. Only to be greeted by a group of students talking loudly and swearing. This was during school hours. As time went by, more and more students came into the kids area, taking up space.I understand this is a public place, but they do not need to be in the kids area.The staff were aware of it but did not do anything until I asked if they could be removed from the kids area.This library needs security. The students should be in school. They should be reported to the school if they’re in the library during school hours.Some students were respectful but the loud ‘cool’ ones ruined it for them.

It is a one-stop shop, which means you can apply for library cards, fair entries, and recreational IDs. For the newcomers, I recommend this place to visit and apply. However, keep in mind to be patient for waiting in line.

This is no more a study place, because whenever you reading for bright future someone comes and say this room is for activity. So where should we go and read. Calgary don’t need well educated people

The place is very clean and nice but the lady at fair entry was very rude and arrogant and was yelling unnecessarily. She should know how to assist customers and should definitely show some kindness.

A small and cozy library. Has all facilities required by patrons, and is bright and tidy.Was a joy to visit

I have loved this center since I was a child. If you can cut out the city politics, the library is fantastic and staff are on point that are manning the services.

Like all library’s nowIs too loud too many kids running around screamingI thought this was a library it’s supposed to be quitPeople should have some kinda silence somewhere other then homeTake your kids to a parkThat’s your problem is it’s cold and snow everywhere as wellThis is a quit placeAnd parents have ruined library’s now like everything elseBe a responsible parent and take your kids elsewhereThis a library not your kids playgroundI want silence while I’m thereI remember when library’s were silentNow it’s a playground it’s ridiculous
