Dr. Vincent Senini Inc

Very thorough doctor, and I have only positive things to say. This is not your regular dentist visit, as Dr. Senini is a periodontist so his work focuses on gum health. Checked my gums using a dental probe, which I wasn't used to, and gave me good advice to prevent recession so I age well. 100% recommend.

Two years ago I was referred to Dr. Senini for a gum graft. First time I went in, my only gripe was that he was almost 30 minutes late for my 8:30am appointment that I arrived 20 minutes early for. He said a graft was necessary, and I said I wouldn't get one if my insurance didn't cover it. He asked me to come back in 6 months to see how my gums were progressing, and in the meantime we'd wait to hear back from my insurance. My insurance ended up saying no because it was deemed unnecessary, but I decided to go to the follow up appointment anyway.The second time I went in I didn't have to wait, despite it being a later appointment, but he had become very pushy. His demeanor the first time was friendly, but this time he was aggressive. He measured my gums again and said they were significantly worse than the previous appointment, which I didn't really believe. He also said that I have awful oral hygiene, which needed to be fixed by his staff over 3 sessions of deep cleaning, which regular hygienists can't do. (I actually have great oral hygiene and have never had a cavity). Then he said I needed 4 grafts instead of the previous 2, despite me telling him my insurance won't cover it. He made me feel extremely uncomfortable and stupid. His staff kept trying to call me to book me in for months after that. I will never go back. I booked an appointment with my dentist soon after to see what they thought about my gums. They wanted to know my experience with Dr. Senini because they hadn't heard anything good and had stopped referring to him.I still don't have gum grafts, and I'm glad of it because this past summer I heard of a new technique to restore gums that my coworker had done and she highly recommended it.

Dr Senini up charged me for unnecessary cleanings, X-rays, fluoride, etc. These are all things I have done by my regular dentist, but he did them anyway (sometimes without consent), and then I’d get a surprise bill as I left.He also recommended I get a single large gum graft, but at the last minute “changed his mind” and told me I should get two smaller ones, which doubled the price.I wish I had seen the other bad reviews before going to see Senini.Stay away!

The first thing important to say is that Senini took out over the office after Dr. Mak!So most of those positive reviews here are two years and older and don’t belong to Senini.Without them, he’d be a one-star clinic.I was referred to Dr. Mak but unfortunately, before the first appointment Senini took over the clinic.And then a similar story as mentioned many times here. In the beginning, he was actually quite nice and looked professional, He did a bone graft and install two implants for me. However, when we were closer to finishing the whole procedure, a bunch of things that I was forced to proceed with him starts to appear and there was zero attention toward to status and health of my implants. Sometimes very unprofessional and in rude way, he forced gum grafts, multiple cleaning that has to be done in his office, despite I had cleaning done by my regular dentist, etc. After weeks and months when I struggled to get some final statement about the implants I went for an independent opinion from another specialist. He found out that both implants are quite poorly done one is out of the bone almost completely. So after $6000 and two years without front teeth I’m back at the beginning, even having to pay for removing both implants and start the process again.Communication with his office is also on another level.For weeks and multiple requests, I was struggling even to get my own files and x-rays, even though I’m legally required to get them. So HERE IS GOOD ADVICE for you, every specialist is scared of their College. So after this magic sentence in an email: “I contacted the College of Dental Surgeons BC and talked about my rights. If this matter won't proceed I will file a complaint.”I got all my files within an hour!So if you are lucky or responsible and see all these stories, please avoid this man and save yourself time, money, and lots of stress. This is not a place where you want to have such an expensive and sensitive thing like teeth done.Btw absolute zero responses to all these bad reviews speak for themselves and show how much their care about patients there.Good luck with your smile!

THIS IS A ZERO STAR REVIEWI wish I read the reviews prior to my visitMy experience was very similar to “Couver”s review I received a random Call from Dr Seninis office advising that I needed to have my 4 year old implant checked. When I arrived I noticed there was no other patients in the waiting room which was never the case with Dr Mak. I almost immediately felt uncomfortable when I sat in the chair, something felt off, I should have walked out. No x rays taken but I was handed an estimate for over $20,000. The estimate had several gum grafs and the implant Dr Mak put in had failed and needed to be removed. I was shocked as I see my dentist/hygienist on a regular basis, brush 3 times a day and floss daily. Also, he said I should see him every 3 months for a cleaning, I questioned why I should see him over my usual dental team, he said because he’s a periodontistI felt I was being pressured into booking the cleanings and surgery asap.I contacted my dentist shortly after my visit to Dr Seninis office, they said my implant is great and gums are fine.

I was a patient of the previous dr that owned the clinic Dr. Mak and had a dental implant put in about 4 years ago. I received a call from Dr. Senini's office and was asked to come in for a re-check of that implant. I assumed this would be a routine, quick (and covered) visit. It was anything but! Dr. Senini spent all of 10 minutes checking my mouth and gums (little of it on the actual area of the implant). No x-rays were taken even though implants are internal and he did not even appear to have my old file with my x-rays. He was rather rough with his dental instrument during the exam. His receptionist was then called in and asked to make several notes. Dr. Senini indicated I had major gum disease, would need another tooth pulled and an implant placed in, would need the previous implant replaced and require several gum grafts. He then vanished for 15-20 minutes and returned with a $16,000 quote for all of that work. He was unable to answer why my dentist had found none of these issues. I see my dentist regularly and have had no dental issues in years! It is generally the dentist that flags issues for specialists to look at. Dr. Senini was very pushy about scheduling the first surgery and coming in for 3 month cleanings (that are not covered by a provider). Upon heading to the front to leave I was handed a $140 dollar bill for this check up that THEY called me in for. Again the receptionist tried to schedule the surgery and the 3 month cleanings despite my previously saying no. The entire time Dr. Senini was hovering near the front desk listening to all this.Something is very off with this office. I believe Dr. Senini is simply calling in old patients of Dr. Mak's to charge this visit fee to and then recommending expensive and unnecessary surgeries in the hopes that a few people fall for it. There are also no other office staff (I was only there 1 day). But other than the receptionist there was no one. Dr. Mak had a full compliment of staff and often the staff would do the X-rays and oral care consults. While I was there there were also no other patients or calls which is very odd for a specialists office which is often extremely busy. My dental office confirmed this type of behavior is very odd and raises several red flags. They no longer refere patients to Dr. Senini and after I spoke with them confirmed they never would. I would strongly advise others to stay clear. And to previous patients of Dr. Mak's do not go in for these visits!

Met him in July 2022. Was supposed to be for a review of my implant done by Dr. Mak, who was amazing and professional.The review of my tooth cost me a ton of money. But wait, the rest of my mouth had major issues he said!Several surgical procedures for gum grafts, and I needed to have all other regular treatments done by him as well.Surgery scheduled for the fall and a bill for 5 figures. They stated I needed to Pay for this and go through my medical plan. My medical plan Said he would have to provide all paper work for me.I had a bad feeling about everything and backed out.Super happy I did. I have always taken good care by going to a professional dentist office. I have since moved and my new dentist is not sure why I had recommended treatment. He would like to see what was requested. I called Dr. Senini and surprise, he is not giving me my paper work, or X-rays which legally belong to me! They were not sent to my old dentist either, not a surprise. STAY AWAY FROM THIS OFFICE!!

Avoid this dr and go somewhere else. He’s rude, unethical and negligent. Will do unnecessary treatments just to make extra money. My husband was referred to him for dental implant. There were endless weekly cleanings, he would often leave in the middle of cleaning/procedure to attend another patient. He would often double book patients and scramble to complete the appointments. My husband left after confronting the dr about all the unprofessional and unethical behaviour. He left a Google review to warn others. Today we received a call from Dr.Senini regarding the tax receipts my husband requested. Dr.S asked why my husband left a negative review and said “ you are so immature, who do you think you are”. He said to “take down the negative review, then I’ll give your receipt”. I was in the call with my husband listening to the whole conversation. My husband hung up the phone as he didn’t want to yell and argue in front of our kids.We called back the office and told the receptionist to of the incident and would be submitting a complaint or speak to our lawyer if necessary . Within 15 min, my husband received the tax receipts. Honesty I don’t even know how this place is still in business. I feel bad for the staff at this clinic. Please avoid this place. Go anywhere else. Save yourself the time and money. Dr.Senini’s practice should be investigated. All the unethical and unprofessional behaviours should be reviewed and he should be properly reprimanded. Patients in Canada have rights. They have the right to choose and have proper care. This dr fails to meet any of the patient’s rights.Read the other comments. Almost everyone is saying exact same thing. Do your research and avoid at all cost.

STAY FAR AWAY from this office. I had the worst experience with Dr Senini. He has absolutely no bedside manners. He does not know how to communicate with his patients respectfully. What kind of dentist argues with his patients???He snatched the $4000+ invoice from my hand and told me find a different periodontist and held the door open for me. How is he still practicing after all these negative experiences.. I mean just read the reviews!! He seems very very miserable.Money hungry and so pushy with treatment. BIG RED FLAG!!!! He needs to be reported to his college for being extremely unprofessional!

One of the worst experiences I have had to date. I initially got a gum graft done by Dr. Senini which went well. He was thorough and did an overall good job. During my follow ups he kept pushing me to get my cleanings done at his office which I refused. I told him many times I am happy with my regular hygienist.I went in for a consult for another gum graft for a different area and he was extremely rude. He quoted me double what was done the first time. I was then told they don’t bill extended health anymore but I could pay and seek reimbursement. The office staff sent in some information to get a quote on what would be covered and my insurance responded back stating they needed more paperwork from the office to confirm the coverage. I believe they just wanted to confirm my graft wasn’t from an impact. He refused to send this information and said they will not cover it and he won’t do the work for free. I was completely shocked by his words. I never asked him for a free service let alone a discount.I called my insurance company and the advised me I am covered 80% for my graft and there is no maximum limit. All they needed was the required paperwork.Dr. Senini refused to provide this to them and for what reason I do not know.I am gladly taking my business elsewhere as he clearly has no bedside manners.The last and final time I was there it was empty and it’s evident why.
