Saint Thomas Aquinas Catholic School

Our daughter went to this school before her finger was slammed in a kindergarten bathroom door. We first took her to the hospital to get her nail stitched back on. Then we tried to find out what had happened. The principal Rosemary LeClair told us that a boy had slammed the door. But the school board told us that it was a lunch time supervisor. We found out the truth by asking the lunch time supervisor what had happened. She admitted it was her. She did not apologize. The principal and vice principal stuck with their story about the boy until one day when I had called the school board and the principal was in the same room. The principal denied she said anything about a boy, thus calling us liars. Don't take your child to this school. It is not recommended! They will cover each other if something happens to your child. I doubt there have not been similar cases of coverups.

it’s pretty good but some of the staff are vary mean my brother got pushed by one of the teachers and they overpriced every thin like feald trips but overall its good

honestly it wasn’t super bad, some of the EA’s were pretty rude though, very bossy

Don't go to this school. The classrooms are ugly and looks like its gonna fall apart at any moment, the school's staff is horrible, All the pricipals and vice-prinicpals there were horrible. especially The old vice principal from about 3 years ago got me and 4 other students sent to the principals office for staring at a tree. The only good teachers there were N. Talbot and B. MacEchern. They are also bad at sorting out problems between the students. Two boys destroyed my property and all they did was lecture me about how they were sorry and that they did it on accident. They made it look like it was my fault that the item was ripped to shreads. They always make it to be the victims fault even in a physical situation.

I'm serving my final year at this school, I am sad to leave, I feel this is the best school I will ever go to. I would recommend this for anyone. Not any major problems ever with this school.

Most of the teachers are either mean, or over react.Last year a kid told me to die in a hole for picking up something to put away that he was reaching for, and all the teachers did was tell him to apologize.They overprice everything, in grade 3 the pizza days were $1a slice and now it's $2.75.The principles are always mean and don't do anything about legitimate concerns regarding teachers or students, and the vice principles are also bad.One got me in trouble for drawing with chalk on a wall (only me, despite me and 16 other kids having permission)And they made me scrub the wall during recess as a grade 3.One of the fields are always closed, and last year they didn't cut the grass once, so the entire year we were walking in knee high grass, kids were finding mice and some stepping on baby bunnies. Multiple people saw tics in the grass but luckily no one caught them.Overall, a terrible school with cheap budgets that rely on the kids to fix it, and only couple good teachers.But it's where I was raised, and it will always have a place in my heart.

Thank goodness the principal will not be returning!

Praise God the Lord Almighty! The current principal will no longer be obtaining employment after June.

It's alright I guess.Most of my problems with this school are some of the Staff/EA's treating certain groups of people unfairly (Pretty sure they favor Females over Males) And not all, but a portion of the staff focuses more on the black students which I find strange.The students are fine. Some of them can be very judgemental and annoying for the sake of their ego but most of the students are decent people. Overall some things at this school are questionable but it has good teaching methods.
