An exceptional B&B in beautiful Port Kirwan. Gourmet meals combined with incredible hospitality. A winning combination. Definitely worth a visit!

This place is incredible. Sharon and Alvin are the absolute best hosts you’ll ever have anywhere in the world. The accommodations are top notch, the food is fantastic (Sharon is a fantastic Chef, no joke or exaggeration here). I was feeling a bit sick and Sharon arrange to buy medicine for me and left it in my room. Just Amazing. Ended up here via an Atlas Obscura tour. Would come again!

Deglet Dates? Who the heck buys deglet dates? Medjool baby, that's what it's at...Other than the deglets, the food Sharon serves for dinner (promptly @ 7, unless you get lost on the trail) is probably the best you will have ANYWHERE. Let me say that again, the food Sharon serves for dinner is probably the best you will have ANYWHERE.It is worth it to stay there JUST FOR DINNER. (SMOKED COD TART).Other than that, Sharon will take care of you, tell you which trails to take and avoid due to weather and fallen trees, and give you pick me juice when your legs cramp up.You might even get her to sing to you.

Sharon and Alvin made my stay of four nights a delight.I will be forever grateful for Sharon loaning me some walking poles because I could not have done the East Coast Trails without them!Sharon and Alvin made me feel at home and welcomed and Sharon has given a lot of thought to come up with a dinner menu that covers a whole gambit and variety of flavours.

Sharon and Alvin are amazing hosts. So friendly and helpful. Their attention to detail was really impressive to support their guests' stay. We stayed 3 nights and we had the best meals of the whole trip - and that is saying a lot because we ate we'll!We were hiking parts of the ECT, an absolutely beautiful trail.Carl and Ann

Sharon and Alvin are amazing hosts. They went out of their way to accommodate us, even helping us make arrangements to return home early when we had to cut our trip short due to illness.We stayed in a sea container that had been modified to be two cozy bedrooms complete with ensuites. The rooms were small but comfortable.The hikers' kitchen area was incredibly well stocked and the evening dinners were delicious.Looking forward to going back soon.

Honestly, even if you don't plan on staying in this area, stay here! Sharon and Alvin are exactly when you hear about Newfoundlanders. Kind, generous, funny as hell, they just make you feel so welcome. Walking in their home for the first time was like we all knew each other for years! Food was amazing, entertainment was even better. Stay in the seacan.

This is probably the best B&B experience I have ever had (and, I have travelled extensively around the world). Sharon and Alvin are two of the most friendly, open, kind and generous people I have met. The rooms are very comfortable, well appointed and have good views of the port. The food that Sharon cooks is out of this world delicious. Both, Sharon and Alvin, have travelled extensively and they know how to make you comfortable. To me, it felt like home. Sharon cooked dinner for me (although it was not part of the deal and never even charged me):Fresh crab salad simply because I did not have a chance to eat crab in NL, great Rose wine, Partridgeberry cake! Breakfast was incredible too; poached pears with yogurt, Moose sausages (again, because I like to eat Moose!), fritata, smoked bacon sweet bread .. everything is made from scratch. This is their passion and it shows. I hope everyone coming to NL gets to experience such hospitality. I am not exagerating my experience at all.

Sharon and Alivin were such great hosts. They went above and beyond helping us to drop our car at the end of our trail and driving us to the start of our trail. Last but not least Sharon is an AH.MAZ.ING. cook! Newfoundland is so very beautiful and Sharon and Alvin were the icing on the cake!
