Frankly flabbergasted. The food here was awful. Not sure what happened to the chef here. We had a four course meal. The chicken was dry and flavorless. The salad had no dressing, and the soup was average. The highlight were some macarons.The decor is spectacular in the heart of U of T. But what a missed opportunity.

I love this space for its beauty, elegance and history. You need to be a member or with a member to eat here. I have to say that only their white people food" is done well. I tried their Mediterranean menu once and realized that the food truck down the street did a way better job. But their grilled trout or burgers or fish and chips? Amazing."

Acceptable, but nothing outstanding.The food was all ok. We had the Salmon, the chicken kebab, salad, soup, and desert and coffee. The room was empty on a weekday at 6:00 (in May)I’m told that the staff and the manager used to be quite friendly and attentive with the customers.Apparently there has been some change - younger staff here now, who seemed to be more concerned and nervous about the watchful, hovering eye of the manager - who in turn seemed completely uninterested in us.At no point did he come by our table ask how the meal was (he obviously didn’t really care) or to see how we were. He only came by after the bill was paid, to tell us that the building would be closed up in 15 minutes.Retired faculty /members at our table were quite disappointed in the atmosphere, and missed the friendly banter with the staff.Times change, so do service standards…

Such a unique place to be! Loved the prestigious inside decor and the food!? Wow!!! I was honestly blown away by it (get the bruschetta- you don’t be disappointed).Leanne is the GM and she was so accommodating and kind! Knows guests on a first name basis and the staff really does make you feel like you’re a celebrity!Thanks for such a lovely experience! Can’t wait to come back!
