The best shop! They have a fantastic selection in store and a great environment! Best value in the area for classes, and all the staff is so helpful, especially if you have a problem with a project or need some help fixing a mistake.The shop has just had a makeover and is open and airy and bright, and there's lots of spots to sit and work on your project. Join in on the sit and knit groups, or just stop in with your project during business hours and grab a seat!They've created a great community that leads to wonderful friendships and comeraderie between staff and customers. This is one of my favourite places!!

Love this store and Joan and her wonderful staff! They take time with you to find just the right yarn in the right colour and then encourage and help with solutions if you run into problems. I used to visit other yarn stores when I travelled, but have not found another with the selections available right here. Now I just travel with a few projects and more than enough yarn to see me through till I get back.

First, they have an amazing selection of products and sell my absolute favorite brand of yarn. Second they ship online orders quickly and accurately, and they always come with a lovely little handwritten thank you, which I love. Third, they have awesome customer service and took care of a shipping problem I had with a recent order (not their fault- Canada Post) and I had my replacement yarn that week. They couldn't be nicer and I couldn't be a happier customer! Thanks Little Red Mitten!

Updated: Amazing selection and the staff is incredibly helpful and friendly. They recently started online sales, so be patient, as I'm sure the process of starting such a task isn't easy. Some suggestions for E-Commerce would be: emailed confirmation of order, tracking number once shipped and ability to reset password if forgotten (function is there but currently not working). I'm excited to to see a LYS grow!Received my first order. Ordered Wednesday, shipped Monday, received Tuesday. When you buy in store, the hanks are winded. They didn't come winded in the mail. Hopefully we can request this when ordering. Beautiful yarn!

I was day tripping this holiday weekend and I decided to finally stop into this shop. The staff are friendly and OMG the yarns! I so want to make that sweater this fall.Will definitely be coming back here.

Little Red Mitten, Yarn Shop and Online Sales
This store is one of my favourites. The stock is plentiful and varied. You can get sweater quantities. There are inexpensive options and luxury yarns too. The shop is well organized and laid out, it's got great lighting, and it's a joy to poke around to discover things, but the staff are very helpful and will show you what you need with a smile. There are also classes, study groups, and events. It's a real community.
