Alliance French Toronto - Markham Campus

I've been learning in Alliance Francaise for over 2 years, and within this time my French skills got HUGE improvement! I started in beginner class, the teacher was friendly and patient, the class atmosphere is postive and joyful, students show great progresses throughout the semester, rely on the well-planned schedule and detailed explanation of knowledge. I would like to thank Mme.Wong, as she is one of the BEST IB program teacher in the organization, her classes are interesting with plenty of useful konwledge, she is kind and humorous. With her help, my progression is evident. I fully encourage students to join her class to enjoy French and learn French skills at the same time. Needless to say other teachers in the campus are also amazing, hope everyone will enjoy the time at Alliance Francaise!!! :)

I am attending this school at the moment and the staffs are very pleasant. My teacher, Mme. Virginie, who is very pleasant ,is very patient with the students and teaches very well. I have improved my French since starting with this school. The principal of the school, Mr. Jean Ng is always involves with the students and always make sure that we do our best. Also, he always look out for the students, like making sure that they are being picked up and go home safely.

Amazing staff and great atmosphere. The teachers really challenge you and help you become your best self. I usually space out in class but the lessons here are interesting and engaging and I always pay attention. These classes help students grow on their French and life skills.

Alliance Francaise is beyond a French learning institution; it is a place where your communication is solidified, and you find a place where you feel welcome and safe. Having been here for a few weeks, I have felt very welcome, and the staff is friendly and willing to assist their students in every way possible. I am a student looking to reach a goal that was seen almost as impossible, but Ms. Wong gave me hope when I needed it the most. Within weeks, the progress was seen, and I could not be more thankful to Ms. Wong and Jean, the Markham Campus principal. Engagement is crucial to excelling French skills, and being around students trying to reach similar goals helps you accelerate further. Great place for students pursuing their studies in the IB program as interactions with teachers and students will prepare you and make you realize a true passion for French. The only thing to remember is to come sooner rather than later and to discover your goals that this fine institution will lead the way for you to reach!

I started attending classes at this location near the start of semester 2 in my grade 10 year. At that point, my french was terrible, I could barely pronounce simple words or speak a proper sentence without stuttering. During the first class I attended, when Mme Wong spoke completely in French, I could understand nothing and was abosolutely confused. Although progress was slow, I realized that is how learning a language is, after you learn the basic your progress speeds up. Today, with my oral exam done and my 3 other IB exams a couple weeks away, I can safely say, I have improved more than I could have imagined. Of course, this is thanks to Mme Wong, each lesson was unique and had intent behind it exposing me to new vocabulary and enriching my knowledge of French culture. With my last session being next week, it feels a bit bitter sweet as this place felt like a second home to me. Thank you Mme Wong for helping me improve, I really enjoyed learning French over the past year!

Since our children started taking classes at this campus, their day-time schools teachers have noted there has been marked improvement in their French competencies, especially their spoken language. We give their teachers at AF, who have been working very hard to help my children, all the credits.The secretary is very friendly, and the Principal is a very approachable and down-to-earth person.This campus is very convenient. There's a big parking space, a Tim Horton's if you want to drink or eat something while waiting; or if you want to do your grocery shopping while your children are in class, you have a grocery store across the street. We love this campus!

Going to this school has helped me develop not only my skills in French, but has also improved my own character. Sitting in a classroom with different students has given the me the opportunity to engage with others in the French language. My teacher, Mme. Virginie Wong has supported me from the first day I entered class. I went from being one of the most quiet kids to someone who could interact with others in both languages. It is without a doubt that I have gained more confidence in my French skills during the past year. As a student preparing for the IB diploma, my loving teacher and friendly peers have helped me improve my French, both in orals and written.

Great location, tutors, staff and service! I highly recommend this location for language learning. I participated in Alliance Francaise activities as a teen and didn't hesitate to trust them with my child's supplementary French education in later years. The experience at Markham is a bonus!

For the past 9 months, Mme Wong has been teaching me and well preparing me for my grade 12 IB French exam. She has brought many useful resources, well planned lessons and very detailed explanations to class in order to have the best quality. Although 9 months is a short period of time, I have learned alot of new vocabulary, phrases and verbs. Every time I go to class, Alliance provides a comfortable and welcoming environment for me to learn. This allows me to work harder and strive to do learn more in french. (Amazing french school, 200% recommend for top quality learning!!)
