Glass Monocle Eyecare

I can not say enough about how awesome the Glass Monocle staff on Bloor is. I have a wide nose and wear hearing aids which can make finding a pair of glasses that do not sit super high a big challenge. Two staff members Mia and Kinnard, were incredibly patient and spent well over two hours with me finding the right pair. They were so enthusiastic and we ended up finding a pair that I am very happy with. The examine went really well and everyone there seemed to really enjoy their job. This place is a pleasure and I highly recommend.

I had a wonderful experience at Glass Monocle. First, I was greeted by friendly staff as soon as I walked in and the person I spoke with was very accommodating and attentive to my needs. She was very knowledgeable and showed me different glasses after I told her what I was looking for.The store itself was bright and had a lot of selection from the classic frames to newer ones as well. I bought sunglasses for my family and was helped by Kinnard. They were very patient considering we came in at almost closing time. My family loved the sunglasses we picked out.I would definitely come back here for my frames and lenses!

Normally I don’t write reviews, but I had the absolute best experience at Glass Monocle on Bloor that I just had to!Dr. Raymond Ho was incredibly informative and thorough with my eye exam. He was happy to answer any questions I had and did it with the utmost care and helpful insight. He also made me feel very welcome and comfortable in general to be there. I have never had such a great experience getting my eyes examined and I have been wearing glasses for 13 years!Also to note, Lee was very attentive and helpful as I was choosing and trying on what glasses I wanted to order. They helped me by bringing me styles that were right in my budget, and even got me considering trying something new! Thank you Lee!

Been coming here for a few years now. Always happy with the level of care and attention that the team provide. The optometrist was knowledgeable, professional and attentive, making sure that I felt comfortable and understood everything that was happening.The store has a great selection of frames and lenses to choose from, and the staff were very helpful in finding the right pair for me. Highly recommend :)

Great experience at this store. I was helped by Andrew and he made the process easy. He asked me my price range so I wouldn’t fall in love with a pair that was out of budget. He knew the inventory in the store and was able to quickly pull out pairs that looked good on me. I don’t think I spent more than 10 minutes trying on pairs before finding “the one”. I will definitely return here when I’m ready for my next pair of glasses!

I’ve purchased three eyeglasses from this store and there are many reasons I keep coming back. Aside from having a great collection of high-quality and stylish frames, their customer service is first class. Their staff are genuine, helpful and knowledgeable. On my last purchase, I bent the frame of my glasses from a small accident. I brought them in to get fixed and two staff helped right away without question or hesitation. They tried everything possible but couldn’t fix them. To my surprise, they offered to replace the frame for free so I basically got a new pair glasses less than a week after. I’m very impressive and sincerely appreciate their efforts.

She walked us through all our options and took extra effort to give us more choices in the styles we liked. In terms of selection, Glass Monocle have a curated, expansive collection of classic and trendy frames. The proprietor (not the general staff) of this establishment is one of the absolutely rudest individuals I have ever met and has no comprehension of normal and congenial customer service. Comes off as a completely rude, passive aggressive, smug and entitled individual. I am a long-time community resident in the Annex and seasoned mental health professional. I have never left anyone a bad review in my time. I strongly recommend anyone needing help with optical issues or to purchase glasses avoid seeking services or buying product at this shop. There are many other such purveyors of glasses and related services in the Annex and I strongly suggest you avoid shopping or getting assistance" at The Glass Monocle."
