It was our first time dining at this restaurant. The overall Vibe was pretty impressive.The places to sit were comfortable and the service was impeccable. I am Celiac and gluten-free is a must. I was unimpressed that the restaurant did not have a separate fryer and that the majority of the items on the menu did show gluten-free however they were things in them that aided to cross contamination.I can't speak highly enough of the staff as they were friendly welcoming and apologize for the items on the menu that we ordered that we thought were gluten free they caught it and suggested Corrections almost immediately. They also bought a surround of drinks to apologize for the mistake.The beef tacos unfortunately were marinated in a soy sauce that was not gluten free. It would be nice if the restaurant were able to offer the gluten-free option perhaps up charge a dollar extra for the gluten-free soy sauce and then off of the dish to those that needed them to be gluten free.Overall we all, the 5 of us really enjoyed our experience and our glasses were never empty. Thank you so much to the friendly staff that showed us the best time we could have had.

This place was amazing! We started with some drinks, there was a large selection to choose from... Since we had a party of 5 we got the pitcher of Strawberry Mojito... Perfect for sharing. I liked the selection of domestic craft beers too... Death wave lager was definately one of my favorites. We all ended up sharing 3 orders of tacos (lamb, chicken, fish)... Only 2 tacos per order but very filling. They were all very good. Guac and chips, Argentinian provoleta were also excellent. For desert we had the churros and plantain sundae... Honestly I only liked the vanilla cream on the plate beside the plantain but there was nothing left over on the plates so it must have all been delicious! Service was great, our server made recommendations for the majority of our order and he did a good job listening to what we were interested in. The location of this restaurant was a big driver of our decision too...right in west block square with a coffee shop next door that we went to right before lunch.

Great food. Tried the ancho chicken with churros, and guacamole with plantains and chips. Really good! I will definitely be back to check out the tacos! Chicken was super flavorful and moist. Great staff as well! Super friendly and helpful!

Nicely decorated restaurant, friendly staff, and excellent service. It was a bit noisy inside, so if I were to go again, likely would select the beautiful outdoor seating. The food was good but not great. The paella wasOk, but not very flavourful and overall underwhelming. The lamb taco was very good and the fish taco was only so so. Either way, 2 tacos + a few tortilla chips seems pretty overpriced at $19/plate. The churros were weirdly overdone and underdone at the same time. Too dark and a bit of a burnt aftertaste but inside was still a bit gooey. Overall, nice atmosphere, mediocre and overpriced food.

Great upscale Mexican restaurant. Lots of margherita choices. Large menu plenty of options. We had the fish and lamb tacos both were great. Very large patio with heaters for chilly days. Highly recommend.

Great food and service all around. The venue is very clean and has free parking. Kid friendly in a comfortable atmosphere. Prices are reasonable for an upscale restaurant.

Despite they’ve westernized some of the Mexican dishes, the food still taste authentic. Great selection of tequila and mezcal as well. I will definitely be coming back. Highly recommend this restaurant.

Wow! What a great dining experience! We enjoyed a complimentary taste of rosé upon entering the restaurant and our fabulous server Nadine provided us with complimentary tequila shots at the end of the meal! So much yum bookended by free booze, whoop whoop! The meal included a cubano sandwich, seared tuna salad, the Corazon hot chicken and prawn ceviche! All dishes were excellent! Very flavourful! And I cannot say enough good things about the service. Thank you Mehraz and Nadine! If you are looking for a great evening out with good portions, a great wine and cocktail list, and friendly people, look no further! We will return!

My husband and I went here for our anniversary dinner. The food was great, atmosphere was very enjoyable and the server was very friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. She made some great recommendations and even gave us a complimentary dessert. We thoroughly enjoyed the experience and will definitely return to try some other dishes on the menu. Would highly recommend.

El Corazón Yeg.. where do I start, I will be honest I have mix feelings about this restaurant. Being a Latino person and visiting a Latin restaurant can be good or bad thing. Meaning, I know what flavours I am looking for and how traditionally they are.Having said that this is a modern spin to Latin food. This allows them to get away with divinations on taste and food traditions. I will be honest the food was ok, I did appreciate their creativity and work they put into it. But if you are looking for traditional tacos, chicharron, paella and guacamole. I feel there are better options in Edmonton. I actually was disappointed with my guacamole and the meals have more of a western take into them.Nevertheless, the place is located in a great location, very clean and looks great. The service was ok, the person that attended to us must of been really busy, had to get my own menus and remind them I was there. I like to give the benefit of the doubt and just say it was maybe an off day.The plátanos were good, the steak I had was ok and the feed back on the burger was great. I will try this place again in the future and give it another try. I think everyone needs to try this place, don’t let me stop you, as this is my opinion and you should have yours. Like I said, I can respect the creativity they have put into it and this might be what you want if your looking for a fusion of Latino cuisine.Have fun and keep on eating.#chicosreviews
