Greenwood Karate

I have been studying with Sensei Austin at Greenwood Karate for the last four years. After studying with several other karate schools, I made my way to Greenwood and did not know what I had been missing. If you are looking for a genuine education in traditional Okinawan karate with a focus on personal challenge and friendly competition, this is the school for you.My fellow students are of varying age and fitness levels, but everyone here steadily progresses and our dojo's focus on technique and detail is obvious in our proficiency at tournaments and seminars. I am proud of the education I am receiving. It is equal parts physical challenge and mental exercise. I am thrilled to be a part of this dojo and highly recommend joining us!

Watched a class done at Greenwood karate. Absolutely top notch. Sensei Austin had an excellent kids class and effectively combined fun and knowledge for the kids. The adult class was excellent as well. All of his students were devoted and well developed to a high skill level. The class structure for the adults was absolutely perfect. Sensei Austin not only hones his students physical skills but also the mental well being through meditation. A true traditional martial artist. You can tell he takes alot of pride in his students and is well loved by all. I highly recommend Greenwood Karate and Sensei Austin. Great to see a father and son duo sharing their knowledge of martial arts.

Both my kids and I train there and we have learned a lot from Sensei Austin. The atmosphere is friendly and we work up a sweat.
