I was a customer a few years ago. My contract is 4 years term. I need notify Monex 6 months before the expired date of my contract, otherwise the contract will be auto renewed for another 4 years. I did contact Monex at 6th month before the termination date, and stopped using Monex terminal. Monex charged me $500 dollar for no activation for 3 months. Every step is a trap. It is true all these rules are in their contract, but in fine print. Stay away from Monex and read your contract before signing it.

I own a telecommunication cyber security company in Alberta with a market that is primarily based in the U.S. so most of my income is received in USD. I received a call from Monex a few months ago and at first I was a bit skeptical about who they were but they had no issue providing me with background and information on them. My biggest concern with the foreign currency exchange in my business is the volatility of the Canadian Dollar with the US dollar. I've been with 1 of the big 6 banks pretty much since the inception of my company and they handle all of my business needs including foreign exchange. What interested me with Monex is the personal trader that was assigned to my account. I used to just go online and book the rate whenever i needed to trade hoping that I was making the right choice at the time. (sometimes it worked out for me sometimes it didnt) What I can say is having someone who understand my business needs and can give me meaningful advice on when to make a trade vs when to wait has definitely had a positive impact on my bottom line. Do not use this Monex. Use with bank or other big company.They working with chase, and other sales of the machine.I had one account and they were charging me 3 machine rental and account fee over 5years. When I complain they said it is nothing to do with chase, monex. They told me individual sales man fault.Trust me do not use this small company.

all the 5-star reviews are fake.they sign you up with first data which is another garbage company and all the charges are hidden.cannot cancel or they charge you $1500 for cancellation within 4 years.worst of the worst.

My experience with Monex Canada has been nothing short of excellent. I work in the tech industry and importing equipment for my business is my core competency. I don't have the time or the wherewithal to watch exchange rates day to day or keep up with the politics that affect it. They reached out to me and told me that they would save me money by using them so I told them I would try them for one month and see how it goes. Since then I have not looked back. I had no idea how much I was being over charged by my bank on foreign exchange rates. Not only have they significantly undercut my banks exchange rate, but they also tell me what time of the month the rate is in my favour and help save me even more money than I knew I could save. I didn't know services like this even existed. My bank hasn't done anything like this for me in the past and they have had my business for over 10 years. Monex gets an A+ in my books.

Terrible customer service. Tried for 2 months with no reply. I even emailed a VP about the lack of service and nothing was done. Watch your bank account closely if you are with these guys. Trying to cancel is a nightmare. Very rude staff. Funny how most of the 5 star reviews were posted all around the same time. FB here we come.

Tried out the 30 day offer and cancelled in 3 days - good luck ! Emad their sales rep was eager to have us try it out but when we decided to cancel the service and continue with our TD Merchant service , I have left 4 emails , 5 text messages and was on hold with customer service for an hour and was disconnected - no return calls or emails ! Have the machine still in our office and had to put a stop Payment on the void cheque when it kept coming out - don’t even think about signing up With Monex or Clover - can’t put a price on the stress and hours trying to get a return call - still no one has called back after two months !!!!
