Winmar did a total home renovation after a fire at my house. The service was excellent and they did an amazing job especially during COVID. Special thanks to Steve Baxter of winmar, Edward and Mike but the whole Winmar team deserves recognition. Their sub-contractors were very good too with Velocity Plumbing and Heating doing the HVAC and Active Electric doing the electrical. All were professional and communicated with me as the home owner. I would recommend them all.

I did not have a positive experience. Winmar used a sub contractor, mike. I was told that it would be a 6-8 week renovation. That was in sept of 2018. It is now late April and I had to ask winmar for a new sub and they dropped me as a customer. Winmar’s agent named “ Steve” made me feel that the work on my house was not a priority on more than on occasion and made excuses every time they missed a deadline. I asked for wood samples of a ribbon cut Mahogany In a colour matched shade and they brought me fake wood. Not a experience I would want anyone to have. 6 weeks turned into 7 months. I recommend that if you work with winmar you keep a record of every conversation and do not accept subs or sign anything until you are happy

They were great, showed up quickly assessed the issue, only thing I would say is that a sample was sent off for testing before being able to do clean up and repair and we still have not heard back. Been two weeks, I know these things take time and they have no control over lab results but have to wait this long is a bit frustrating.

SGI chose them to do our clean up. The team treated our items poorly. Threw out items in a random selection process with no explanation took over 30 days to provide a list of what they wrote off as losses. They stacked stuff in a storage bin in a haphazard manner so heavy stuff on top of light resulting in stuff getting crushed beneath other things. Waited over 30 days to give us a quote to rebuild. Didn’t even use a chalk line to cleanly cut the drywall at 2 feet. It’s a mess and everything is on hold because they won’t provide a quote in a timely or honest manner. Also lied to me and made up a law that doesn’t exist! Untrustworthy, dishonest and once caught intentional delays in the process.

14 months and project is not yet finish, dont trust these clowns

We recently had water damage to our family room bar area. My insurance adjuster hooked me up with Winmar. Their reps called me immediately and came over to inspect the damages within the hour. The next day they had a team remove old rugs, tile damaged walls, etc. I found their team to be very courteous, friendly and hard working. Our Project Manager, Chris was amazing. He made sure the workers and job duties were co-ordinated in a timely manner and that everything was done to our satisfaction. I would recommend this company to anyone

One of their drivers nearly ran me off the highway. Heading north on Highway 11, he was driving well under the speed limit in the left lane, while doing paperwork on his steering wheel. He was all over the road, and putting others at a huge risk.I left a message with the company regarding the incident. If this is how their employees drive on the highway, I cant imagine how careless they must be with their day to day work.

We did not have a good experience with Winmar. After the third time they tired to clean our house from smoke damage we fired them. They didn’t do a good job and lied to us about things that they said they had done and haven’t their quality of work was very suspect

We discovered a water leak at 6:00 in the morning, we called windmar at 7:30. They came with the cleanup equipment by 8:15 and they were done by 10:30. They did an awesome job, and quickly too. We were very impressed. Thank you guys.
