Last Minute Alteration

I recently visited last minute alterations to have a bridesmaids dress altered. I needed a last minute adjustment so I dropped off my dress on a Wednesday. He fit me in to his very busy schedule even though what I was asking for required a lot of work and was very last minute, he managed to get it done. It was ready for me on the Friday and the dress looked so good! I would recommend anyone to pay a visit to this shop!

Very down to earth & professional owner - he is very knowledgeable in his craft, and he is definitely the person to go for anything last minute alterations! He was able to accommodate a super urgent wedding suit alteration request that I needed to do, 2 days before my wedding (wife was not happy obviously lol). HIGHLY RECOMMEND - THANKS FOR SAVING OUR WEDDING!

Mike is a superstar. I went to Last Minute Alterations based on all of the glowing google reviews and was not disappointed! I had previously gone to my regular dry cleaners to have a strapless long bridesmaid dress altered to be taken in at the bust, waist, and hip areas. It wasn't taken in as much as I preferred and I didn't realize this until later on, so I quickly drove over to Last Minute Alterations three days before I left for the destination wedding. I explained the situation to Mike and when I tried on the dress he was hesitant to take it in further, but I assured him I wanted to be fully SNATCHED. He agreed to it and stated he would do his best to get it done in two days. Not only did he succeed in this, he managed to do it earlier than expected and it was absolutely perfect! Will be returning with all of my garments that I would like altered. Thanks Mike!!

The ONLY place in the city I will go to alter my clothes. You can tell he has a true passion and skill for altering clothing. You can also tell me has been doing this forever and is a professional. He took my dress in last minute and had it ready for me the next day. I had to have a lot of trust in him to do a good job because I was so short on time and was going to pick it up the day of the party.I went to pick up the dress and it was seamless, absolutely perfect. It was tight in all the right places and fitted my figure well. I cannot thank him enough!!! He saved me!!He has amazing pricing and is very affordable. His pricing will surprise you like it did me.Overall 10/10, will be back!!

Mike was very busy but still made time to accommodate me and take in my maternity dress needed for wedding. Results were beautiful and he is truly skilled at what he does.He was also very helpful with my husband's dress pants, giving him his honest opinion/advice. Mike is humble, hard-working, and his prices are fair. A friend recommended him to me; good tailors/seamstresses are hard to find in the city, and especially when you're pinched for time. Had a wedding to go to and needed my dress altered last minute. Even though he was busy he took my dress in and got it done perfectly right on time. Would highly recommend!

I have brought 2 formal dresses to be altered by him. Hemmed, shortened straps, taking in the shoulders, etc., Both were done in a very reasonable time, and for the BEST price I could find downtown. I would recommend to anyone and will continue to bring all my alteration needs to him.

Nice guy to chat with, but quite frankly, service was terrible.I had three items altered: shorten pants, fix holes in the collar of a top and sew on decor on a cardigan. Dropped my clothes for alteration, was asked to come back a week later on Wednesday. Came back on said Wednesday and he hasn’t even started on the clothes. Asked me to come back a day later but I was not available until Monday. So I came back Monday, and two of the items were done but the the third item was still being worked on. I had to wait for a few minutes.I asked if I should try on the pants but the reply was no, it is fixed. The other two items also were just handed over. This was my mistake, as I should have insisted on trying on the pants and inspecting the tops but I didn’t have the energy to argue on that day, after waiting for so long. It would have all been tiresome, but fine if the items were altered to what was agreed on. However, I came home, and to my frustration found that the pants were still too long, and there was still a gaping hole on the collar of my top, so it wasn’t fully fixed up.Utterly disappointed, frustrated and angry to be honest. Will not be back and will look for a different alteration service.

Mike is the real deal. Not only is he an absolute expert at what he does, and his prices are incredibly fair, he is KIND. I had to get a jumpsuit tailored for an important work event. Despite being SUPER busy, Mike took on my order and had it ready for me in less than 24 hours. He of course did an amazing job, and made the entire experience for me 100% less stressful. He knows the meaning of good customer service. A gem in the Yorkville area!

He did a great job on my blazers. Well worth it. Will use again, was very professional, kind, and the alterations were great. Looked around a lot before I decided on this place and it was well worth the research.
