Closer North

Closer north recently held a workshop that I attended. To say i admire Erica's work, is an understatement of epic proportions! I was so excited to attend. It was so well put together and gave us ample opportunity to learn from her and some other closer north shooters. It was a great learning experience and I plan on attending next year as well. I also have had Erica as a shooter for our children, and they are just magnificent ♡ she is a gifted photographer, a smart and reliable business owner, and a all around great person. I recommend her highly, you will never be disappointed .

We recently used Closer North’s photographic services for our celebration in Maine. Our event was originally scheduled for May 2020, which is what we first hired them for, working out all the timing details, etc. Covid rules meant the wedding ended up held in a small backyard garden in UK, and the whole Maine event was restructured. Erica worked back and forth with us to re-plan with the new focus of celebrating the couple. She sent us Ember as the photographer, who was excellent. Ember adapted to any requests we had about people, place, etc, and she also made many helpful suggestions. Erica turned things around quickly, sending us a couple of pictures to whet our appetite, and then soon thereafter, sent the well-organized thumb drive of the whole portfolio. We got a nice combination of casual and posed, couple and family/friend groups, venue setup, and even some cute ones of our two dogs! It is such fun to go through the photos together, and we look forward to reflecting on these memories through the elegant photography!

We had a family photo session with Erica many years ago. She was wonderful at putting us at ease. She captured some incredible photos, even when we were not aware!

We hired Closer North to photograph our wedding. Hillary was our photographer, and she was the perfect blend of relaxed and professional.Erica sent us our photos much quicker than we expected in the most beautiful little package.We would highly recommend Closer North to anyone who is looking to hire a photographer. We loved working with Erica & Hillary! Our wedding photos were absolutely perfect. Almost a year later, I am still getting compliments on how beautiful our photos were from anyone who sees them. In no surprise to me or my husband, choosing Closer North to do our wedding photography was one of the best choices we made for our wedding day. Erica was amazing from the minute we reached out to her, we spoke on the phone and she gave me an in depth explanation about any of the services I asked about, we filled out a questionnaire and within a day we had an idea of a wedding timeline and a true idea of what we would need for services day of.We had our engagement shoot with Erica and it was so much fun, Erica is so easy to work with it felt more like we were spending time with a friend than someone we hired. We ended up with the package deal that came with a second photographer and Danielle was just as fantastic as Erica. They both got all the photographs I could have wanted and then some. Erica has absolutely no problem with wrangling a large crowd into where they need to be and to look where they need to look. They also helped make sure everything happened in the timeline it was supposed to, so well that our wedding actually started on time!I absolutely recommend Closer North for photography, the pictures come out amazing, the personalities of the photographers are fantastic, and honestly they blend in so well with the rest of the wedding you don’t really even notice they’re there. Closer North is well worth the money you pay, you absolutely get the quality photographs you would expect for their price range, and the photographers are so friendly it feels like you have a couple of extra friends at your wedding.

Erica and her second shooter for the day (Danielle) were great to work with. We worked with Erica for our engagement shoot after not having a great experience with a previously hired photographer and immediately knew that we would have a different and better overall experience with Erica and her team at Closer North. The day of our wedding Erica stayed with me and my bridesmaids and took pictures and when we ran into a slight flower debacle, Erica was accommodating and very laid back about the situation. Danielle took pictures of the guys getting ready and they all said that she was fun to work with. If you are thinking about hiring Closer North, do it! You will not regret it! Obsessed! Choosing a photographer was a daunting task for us with the added pressure of having these pictures for the rest of our lives. We feel so relieved and lucky to have found Closer North. Our photos came out beautiful and captured the day absolutely perfectly. Ember was so awesome to work with and is extremely talented. She even managed to make a slightly stressed-out wedding party laugh and our family feel comfortable and relaxed. The Closer North team was a pleasure to work with from the planning process to execution on the wedding day. The team went above and beyond on a 90+ degree summer day to capture all of the special moments. We appreciate all of their hard work and talent and will cherish these photos forever.

It's difficult to imagine a better experience with a wedding photographer than we had with Erica. Professional, conscientious, cheerful, and speedy! Oh, and did I mention that the images she captured are for-real magical? Book her. You won't regret it.
