Amazing dr.

Receptionist rebooked our appointment without confirming with us. I have received messages on my phone for other people and I call the business back to let them know. In this case she obviously did not call, did not leave a message or did not leave a message at our correct number via misdialing because they were able to originally book/confirm the appointment at my cell. We walked in and said appoint for so-and-so and immediately were met with a rude I dont think so" because the doctor wasn't in. This medical receptionist was uncaring and unpleasant and as a healthcare professional I would not see this person lasting in this role at my clinic. I would be embarrassed to have people working that took so little pride in their professionalism and caring for young children. It's unfortunate that we wont get to know if the physicians made up for it. Wont be returning.."

Receptionist is absolutely unprofessional!I’ve been trying to get her to fax prescription to shoppers drug mart for 2 days and tells me she’s been calling them( shoppers) numerous times with no answer. Hmmmm. Weird so I suggested I’d go over and have them call her and she said NO.I’ll keep trying. ( Yeah right) I know she’s doing it because the first time I meet her she gave me complete attitude and kept going on that dr wasn’t going to see my son who was just out of NICU as we were a tiny bit late. I was completely nice to her at first the. She continued to be completely ignorant to me saying the dr was not going to see him so I bit back at her and she didn’t like it! I told her to let the dr be the judge of that and sure enough the dr came out and said absolutely I’ll see my son . She then rolled her eyes and made sure to not be at the desk when I was leaving as I’m sure the guilt and shame was overwhelming her ! She needs a new job, this job isn’t for her. Extremely unprofessional rude and doesn’t care about babies/children. I highly suggest Dr Elmekkawi hires someone new before he loses alot of his patients and allows her to ruin it for him as he is an amazing dr! Babies health should not be played with because you have an issue with the parent! I’ll be taking her actions up with the dr and other avenues as I heard I’m not the only one with issues with her! Do everyone a favour and get rid of this ignorant woman dr Elmekawi
