I have been going here every year since the 90's...the new kitchen and dining hall is wonderful and the staff all work so hard preparing meals when we bring students from TRU down. A big thanks to all of them for their hospitality each year.

Loon lake is very beautiful, their collaboration with Pinnacle Pursuits is great! This is a great destination for school trips. Can I suggest you guys to take a video of everything because before I came I was a little confused where everything was.

Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful. My children go to camp here and I'm mad jealous every time I drop them off. The facility is well-run, clean, and nicely constructed. The setting is idyllic.

YELLOW OCHRE SUNSETS & PHTHALO BLUE WATERSI went to this artist's excursionfor an evening of creative inspiration shoreside at Maple Ridge’s Loon Lake Lodge & Retreat Centre. Overall i would say it was a good experience. I was a little disheartened at the site of the lake and the weather wasn't the best. There was no yellow ochre sunset or blue waters. The lake was quiet and serene and there was nobody else around except the fellow artists which added to the ambiance. It was $30 per person and includes hot drinks and snacks which was a nice touch. There were some swans in the distance and later learned these were just decoys. The swans made a nice subject to paint for some of the artists there. The lake did not strike me as something i would want to paint. It took a lot of imagination to find something worthy of my canvas. A few of the other artists there felt the same way. Too much green, not much variety of colors. This was my first excursion painting session and was a great learning experience. I would do this again.

Around 27 years ago from the date of this review, was when my elementary school (Douglas Road Elementary) took our entire class on a couple nights field trip to Loon Lake retreat lodges. It was an unforgettable memory for me.I believe I still have some old photos of the lodges of yesteryears. Hope to post some of them here later, just need to do some digging. What was my most memorable memory? We visited during winter time that year and it was heavily snowing and I got to see Loon Lake completely frozen. The sight was surreal and dreamy. I’ve had dreams of Loon Lake in all its winter wonderfulness ever since although they have become lessened over the years as I aged.Perhaps another trip should be scheduled soon - but this time with family!By the way, the food from 27 years ago, I still can’t forget about them - amazing and scrumptious.

THIS PLACE HAS THE BEST CAMP EVER! The first time I came here (2017), I was on a school camping trip. It has really fun activities, good cabins that are extremely clean, and the food is good. One of the best camps I've ever been to. Too bad I went with a school that was horrendous

Absolutely stunning. For a place to be this close to the city and still feel like we are 3 hrs away is remarkable. They go above and beyond on the clean factor, too.
