Harbour City Doulas

When the suggestion of a doula came up initially, I wasn't sure it was for us. I was wrong. Andrea's support during my pregnancy, and most importantly in the delivery room was crucial! As first time parents, we had no idea what to expect during the labour process - and birth is no picnic. I speak for both myself and my husband when I say Andrea was one of the best decisions we made! Her emotional support & calm nature was amazing while I was in labour, and following the birth of our daughter, her knowledge was beyond helpful and she was there if we needed anything, had questions or just wanted an extra ear! Thank you Harbour City Doulas!

When getting pregnant I wondered do I really need a doula? YES, i couldn’t say enough about how helpful it was having Candy be apart of our journey! Candy is such a kind, knowledgeable, easy going, patenient, (the list goes on) person. I couldn’t recommend her more!

I had high expectations for the support I’d get from my doulas (Andrea and Kristy). But the support I received exceeded all my expectations! These ladies really are judgement free and incredibly knowledgeable. My partner and I are extremely grateful for their help.

I had my baby in early April in hospital with the support of Riannon. I was assigned two in my pregnancy and had unlimited call and text support with them up to delivery which was wonderful. My boyfriend and I were also able to take their Newborn 101 class which we loved as first time parents!I ended up having a 52 hour labour that ended in a successful vaginal delivery which I am incredibly proud of and I 100% know it was partly because of the support I had from Riannon throughout the process. She was in contact with us during our early labour stages and helped us figure out when to get to the hospital. Riannon not only supported me and my wishes but she also empowered my boyfriend during the process. We were so thankful to have her there. I laboured naturally for 40 hours using different positions and natural pain management until getting an epidural at 5cm. Riannon was a fantastic cheerleader but also an amazing unbiased helping hand to keep us calm and let us know everything was normal and okay throughout such a scary process!I absolutely recommend Harbour City Doulas for their birth support services and will likely be using them again in the future!
