Stuck on Saltspring for a few more hours feeling really sick. Staff in the deli were great. Set up a table for us, Got us what we needed, and we're very caring and polite.

Bought a Veggie wrap for lunch today (Apr. 28) - listed ingredients: lettuce, cucumber, avocado, cilantro, rice paper, mango salsa, peanut sauce. Ingredients actually in the wrap: lettuce (a lot), a few pieces of red cabbage, a few gratings of carrot, 2 or 3 little strips of red pepper, and peanut sauce. Not good.

The best shopping experience of my life.With a broken right arm & unable to drive my stick shift, their shuttle bus took me out out of the doldrums & helped me in every way to stock up for my 6 wk life with a cast. Roses to Nancy & the cashier who bagged my items perfectly so I could put them away just so.

I dropped one star, because while i like country grocer, only 2% of the population is actually vegetarian/vegan. You wouldn't think it is ONLY 2% with the latest invasion of products, that squeezed out other products that were more appealing. 20% of the dairy section has gone vegan, 20% of the frozen food section is vegan, and other sections in the store are going that way as well. Shouldnt it be consumer demand for products that dictates the products in the store, not the store dictating what people buy by squeezing out choices for people to cater to a miniscule minority?

It looks a bit like an island monopoly - even if there is another insular supermarket and shopping area. However, single ownership makes for a consistent mall" with all stores lined-up and decorated in the same style. And you will probably find what you need at a reasonable price. If you are lucky

Excellent selection of goods at reasonable prices! There are a lot of things I don't see in other stores, even compared to stores from the Lower Mainland. Great service to boot. It's definitely one of my favourite grocery stores :)
