AVL Appliance Repair

Had minor issues with washer (door switch/timer fuse) and washer needed spring replacement kit. They came the same morning I called. When booking I asked how much. I was told $79.00 to come and inspect. TWO technicians came. They were there 30 min approx. We had discussion about parts and costs. They wanted a deposit for the parts. No they wanted me to pay for parts plus 2 x $79.00 plus HST and was told the labour would be deducted and credited on final bill. Well they came back same day. Were there for an hour TWO technicians for second visit. My final bill was $651.36. Parts were $147.00 plus HST, labour $405.00 plus HST for less than 2 hours at my house. What appliance outfit charges $200.00 an hour plus tax. Washer and dryer are fixed but I will NEVER call them again. I didn't ask for two techs and I shouldn't have to pay double for you to train someone!

A lovely gentleman came in the day after my inquiry. He assessed the situation, immediately determined the issue and ordered the part accordingly. When he came back after a couple days he corrected the issue but then something else went wrong. He did not charge per hour. He ended up staying from 5 until 7:30 to make sure everything was corrected. We are a family of 6 and incredibly grateful for all you did! :)

Alex does an amazing job! I had to turn to him twice, once with a fridge, and with a washer recently. I was lucky enough that he had got the required replacement parts with him. So he managed to get the washer running again very quickly. Highly recommend him as a professional and reliable service provider!

Unfortunately, cannot recommend. When we first call to book, could not get a clear price for cost of coming (more than $100 just to show up at your door). Then, came, ordered the part and left the broken part hanging in the fridge. Came back without calling, so we weren't home and had left the part on our steps. The part was the wrong part. Took more than a week for them to return. Requested refund, we were told we would receive by email within few days, but we didnt. We had to call twice more to finally get a partial refund, so basically paid $110 for no repair at all. Will never use again.

DO NOT USE!!! Call to get microwave fixed. Was quoted $79. Then was email amd told had to add extra $20 on the bill. Not at my house yet and changing price.Wires need to be replace or fixed. Call to as his repair guy had repair wire on truck and to let them know what was wrong with microwave. Owner could not tell me nothing, as he stated he did not know what was on the trucks. Wanted to come out to tell us what was wrong with the microwave. We explain that we knew what was wrong.They decided to cancel the service call . I can say we were lucky they did. No customer service skills from AVL.

Excellent work. Fantastic result. You and your team solved the problem within a single day of calling. You repaired such an important device to our young family - a clothes dryer. And for that I thank you very much. Eric was professional, responsive, skillful, and effective.

Think twice before using this company!I was verbally quoted $330 to have my 9 year old washer repaired. The bill ended up being $450. I should have gotten a written quote that included everything - consult fee, part, taxes. I won’t use this company again, and definitely would not recommend it to others. At the very least, I recommend you phone one or two other companies first.As soon as you have someone from AVL come to your home, you’re on the hook for $100 which they say will apply to the repair job- which I guess means is simply added to the actual repair job! Try another company first!

I would not recommend this company.Let's go from start.My dishwasher is broken and I try to call couple of companies and those guys are first that they can come and take a look what is the problem. Technician shows up on time and he figures that some valve is problem and I agree to order it and book appointment for next day to fixed but it turns out that it's not problem in that valve it's a board like brain of all machine and I decided not to fix it because it is too much for old dishwasher.So first day I paid for valve and for the guy to come and take a look at it and on the end when he figures out it's not one thing then something else he told me that I have a refund for 100 and some dollars and I will get money back with e-Transfer and I didn't.I was call couple of times and they promised that my money would be send to me but still nothing and it's almost two weeks from then.So whoever needs some service don't call this one they will take money and they want do your job.

Two men arrived in an unmarked vehicle at our house to fix a relatively newish washing machine. They made a bogus diagnostic claim, did not have any parts (or tools - other than a screwdriver), made a couple of useless adjustments, charged us $200 (quoted at $99) for 15-minutes of “work”, which included them “educating” us on how to fix the machine ourselves. They wreaked of cigarette smoke, did not wear masks, and left cigarette butts in my driveway. They also did not check their work, which resulted in a follow up visit the next day - because the washer still did not work. Needless to say their return visit made no difference. The following day I had Public Electric come to the house and properly fix the machine for $120. I DO NOT recommend AVL Appliance Repair.
