Carnation Chinese Restaurant
This restaurant is o.k. Nothing more, it’s convenient because you get into the hotel after driving for hours and it’s right there. But the food is bland. It feels as if they use frozen vegetables for their Chinese vegetable plate. The sauce was very sus, clear and slimy. The menu is misleading, as the Chinese vegetables are under the chow mien but is not chow mien? We had also gotten the mushroom fried rice, which was good but I believe they only use soy sauce as the seasoning. I did not try the mushroom chow mien but heard it was not very good at all. The plum sauce was good though

Everything us too small. Portions are small and the ribs are the smallest I've ever seen. Beef up the portions and make more if a meal as I was still hungry whe I left. I got chicken balls, rice, ribs and a not so tasty egg roll that looked more like a roll of sausage than a regular egg roll.

The other pictures posted are exactly what we saw and got. I wish we had read the reviews, otherwise we would have gone elsewhere. Be advised, it was bland, very bland. Steamed chunky vegetables, fresh at least, with a little (very little) meat in an almost tasteless, watery, gluey liquid over noodles. We ordered spicy Cantonese Chow Mein not Chop Suey. We were tired and hungry so we ate.

I drive all the way from Fredericton to eat here. I eat there all the time and have enjoyed both the food and the service. Anyway I like the food there and the price is half the cost of the D........... in Fredericton. Lots of space and not crowded at all. Great for large gatherings or just you.

My wife and I stopped by this restaurant tonight for supper. We ordered the Dinner for Two and decided to add the Wonton Soup. I will say the regular size soup is rather big and was absolutely great. The wontons were very tasty and the broth was also full of flavour. This wonton soup even comes with sliced pork in addition to wontons and chives. The egg roll was pretty good, especially if you like egg rolls containing more meat than vegetables. The rest of the meal was overall very good. The rice and chicken chow mein was good, while the chicken balls were great (nice and crispy with a good sized chicken chunk). The fried wontons were also very well done - crispy and tasty. The coffee wasn't very good, but certainly didn't take away from the meal, as I drank it after eating.

Like the hotel this restaurant is in need of a major upgrade, the bench seats in booth we sat at were all cracked from either wear and tear or really cheap quality vinyl.

Good food, but EVERYTHING COMES WITH FRIED RICE we had so much fried rice is was ridiculous. The chow mein's sauce was transparent and salty overall ok. But you need to get the the Szechuan dishes they are spicy and have much more flavor. We came here for the stereotypical American Chinese food and that is what we got. The service was very nice. Stopped here for a night at the Days Inn that is attached.

We love Carnation Chinese Restaurant!We did not have a reservation on New Years Eve, but got in and served in an excellent manner. Food was exceptional! Thank you!

Food was terrible! I would not recommend this place at all. We were there from BC staying in the Hotel that is attached to the restaurant. I recommend anything else but this place! I will say however the server at the till was very nice, friendly and personable.

Food isn't bad. I ordered a meal worth $80 for the family and asked for the sauce on the side because my kids don't like the sauce on their chicken balls. They had the gall to charge me 0.25 per container. Like really I just spent $80 you couldn't just throw that in.
