Fortinos Ancaster

2023.04I am giving 5 stars to the cake team at this Fortinos. I had been here many times for cakes and I always found staff friendly and cake decorated beautifully. Last weekend I was here picking up a freshly made strawberry shortcake and Emily really impressed with her patience and skills in writing out this Chinese character meaning “longevity” . Thank you Emily!I highly recommend this location.

Love FORTINOS. Although everything was about 25% higher than No frills for same PC products. You pay for a classy store. The soup and sandwich was the best tasting I’ve had in a long time.

really big grocery store with huge food court with good variety. i think it’s interesting that produce is under purple LED lights and found this experience coming here far more interesting than going to a whole foods. just a very nice and pricey grocery store.

Very good job on a birthday cake. Selection is always lovely but the prices are usually higher than other local stores.

Rude and incompetent staff at the bakery Section! I went to order a cake for my son’s birthday and the lady at the bakery managed to pass me twice and take the next customers and I let it go thinking that the staff didn’t pay attention to my presence at first! When it was my turn to order and after she confirmed to me that she will take my order she left me standing behind the counter and went for her break! She never mentioned that to me that she will be leaving until I asked her colleague and she told me that that staff went for her break!!! I still can’t comprehend what happened! I don’t believe how inconsiderate and rude people can be! I wonder if I did place my order, will I find it when I come to pick it up or the staff will forget to put my order through because she had a break to attend for!! I am never reaching that section ever again!

It’s a great grocery store and now has a great hot food counter. Their soups are very good and there is a big area to sit for lunch.

Even if this is a newer store with better bakery options, i hate the charcuterie section. Those ladies put the stuff on the tray like they hate you. You come home and the cheese slides are all broken. That never happens on the upper James store. I won’t go to Wilson for charcuterie anymore.That and the organic meadows milk is 1 dollar more expensive than other places. Already expensive at 7 to pay 8 for 2L

I always have a fantastic experience at this Fortinos. It is always very clean and the staff is very polite. Tonight I was very proud of the cashier who scanned my items and even had to weigh produce without knowing the code. He navigated the search option with extreme efficiency and swiftly bagged all the groceries and he did it proudly without any help. Great work Anthony Lombardi!
