We were recommended Kingston Flooring World by a few different friends. And after shopping around, it was easy to see why. Our experience with the staff we connected with (Clarence and Adam) was superior! Even during the pandemic, they went above and beyond to ensure our complete satisfaction to make things perfect. We could not be happier with our gorgeous new stair runners and custom matts to match! We now highly recommend them too.

Absolutely horrible! Went in twice to buy carpet and not one employee got out of there seat when they saw us walk in. When we finally managed to drag an employee out from behind there desk he was unhelpful and didn’t seem interested in selling us carpet. Wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone at all.

This past year I had to make several commercial purchases for varied projects. Carpet World provided great pricing on quality products which left my clients happy with the quality and value. Carpet World has earned my business through great customer care and service.

Bought a remnant from Mark! He was amazing and gave me an great deal . Also dealt with Cora who was very polite and helpful. On the other hand though I would have given the store 5 stars but a blonde lady who works there was extremely rude to me until Mark came along. Great quality for the price!

All I can say is shop around. We saw a carpet marked clearance on a website. Checked with KCW if it could be ordered and what was the price. They quoted the FULL price even after we mentioned it was a clearance item. We shopped around Kingston and found another store that quoted the clearance price right from the started — 25% less than KCW. Needless to say we didn't order the carpet from KCW.

I hired Flooring World to do a small job putting carpet on the a set of stairs, I will start off by saying that the first visit talking with Mark (the owner) and the work done by the installer we great, seamless and the results were good. My complaint lies in the business practices and customer satisfaction department post install, the cheque sent to pay the outstanding balance had a discrepancy between the written amount and the number amount (double check your cheques!) the cheque was cashed and 10x the outstanding invoice was deducted from the account. Called the bank, figured out what happened and got the ball rolling to get the money returned, I called Flooring World and spoke with Mark because I wanted to know how the cheque made it was to the bank in the first with the number discrepancy and what he (as the owner) was going to do to make the mistake right (via financial discount for the remainder of the balance) i was told he saw the cheque and that it was written out for the correct amount so he put it in the pile of cheques to be sent to the bank, I asked if the cheque was compared to the outstanding amount on the invoice and he said they have someone come in once a week and do that (in my mind you wouldn’t cash a cheque until it was been balanced against the outstanding invoice) so I said that in my eyes, because Flooring World was the first to received the cheque and failed to check it against the invoice to verify the amount and that it was free of discrepancy before taking it to the bank that I believed a discount on the remainder would be fair, to which I was told “what, like $5?” “This wasn’t a big job” Mark then said that the tellers at the bank didn’t catch the discrepancy in the cheque (between the written and numerical number) so in his mind they were at fault. I agreed that the bank should have caught it but that they don’t get the invoice to check it against, that was Flooring Worlds job and that wasn’t done. Mark reiterated that he believed it was the banks fault and to take it up with them to have them make it right. Like I said, the initial meeting and the work that the installer did was good but with apparent bookkeeping/business practice issues and the “pass the buck” attitude I wouldn’t recommend Flooring World to anyone asking my opinion.
