Absolute gem in the east end. Been coming here for years. So many regulars and the staff know their order by heart. Super friendly. Generous portions. Delicious food. Quick service.

Nice hidden gem for Jamaican food in Gerald Square, Toronto. Quite a few line up during lunch hours. Great deal. Fast service. Cost effective. We tried their signature jerk chicken w curry potatoes & rice as well as the jerk chicken sandwich.

Love love love this place! Located in a foodcourt of a (run-down) strip mall, Tropical Joes stands out amongst its average chain peers. We got curry chicken meal + ox tail meal both regular size + a side of chick peas. All in all, $30 for everything which is very reasonable. The staff packed it so full that it was a bit challenging to close the lid even, loved watching that process! That is how you win your customers, not by being cheap on the portion. As such, let me say it again: The portion is generous, the food is delicious, the staff is friendly + happy! Makes you look forward to coming back the next time already! Thank you for making yummy food with passion, it shines through the food you create :)

I ordered the jerk chicken meal for $14 and got a generous amount of food. Very flavourful chicken, definitely will eat here again when I’m in the area

This is not your regular mall food court food.You can tell they actually take pride in the food they're serving. It's not just some fast food chain. It's very good and the portion sizes are awesome. I'll be back for the jerk chicken and ox tail. The only thing I didn't love is the coleslaw is pretty dry.

Awesome Food. I always go for the jerk chicken roti with added ox tail gravy. The jerk chicken is on the weaker side of a typical medium spice. They'll add spice if you want it. The large size is really two meals, I take the second half for lunch most times.

Like other reviewers I can't help but give tropical Joe's perfect marks. First of all their food is always hot and fresh. The staff are quick and friendly. The consistency of the food temperature quality and portions are Beyond Compare. You can't go wrong with any dish here but my personal favorite is the jerk pork roti. It's perfectly cooked perfectly seasoned and it's such a winner in my books. If you get the large roti there is absolutely no way you could possibly be disappointed. It's probably good enough for two meals for most people. The value is exceptional and they've done a great job of continuing to deliver incredible value over the tough times that all restaurants went through over the past few years. I haven't noticed any price increases but I'm sure they've had a couple but they've been low enough that I haven't even noticed if at all. Either way I am honestly disappointed with most other places I go to now that I've tried tropical Joe's. Thanks to the staff for continuing to provide this high quality option in our city. Best mall food ever. Seriously though the jerk chicken meal was on point. Lots of gravy and moist chicken.
