Horrible and really did not help us at all! To start your told they will help you for a year. Then due to reasons beyond my control the worker I was assigned to help me was on sick leave then quit leaving me WITH NO WORKER FOR ABOUT 5 MONTHS! I had Noone to instruct me onto applying for any other low income housing options until 9 months into my year. End result I was given the option between finding a new cheaper place I could better afford (but within 10 days to find it) or they would assist me for 1 more month then I'm left in a situation where all my income every cent I get in a month still leaves me $47 short to pay just rent. Basically it was a temporary assistance that left me worse than where I started from. Then they wondered why I wsnt into my graduation celebration " they give you?!? Just didn't see anything worth celebrating."

My experience with homeward trust well I put my name on the list over 2 yrs ago I'm still being told I have to wait for a team. This program is not what it appears to be. Like really what does a person need to do throw them selves in front of a bus. I don't feel that I've gotten any support from these people it's an excuse one after another. They just keep saying oh well try this program or that. I need support and help they got huge funds and yet people are getting nothing from this program

By not going into too many details be very careful when dealing with this company. We had a fire in one property and the tenant that was placed there who we were told had tenant insurance did not. And there was a fair amount of damage. Repairs to The apartment should’ve been the responsibility of the insurance company and homeward trust. However they would only pay $.30 on the dollar for the repairs once again caused by their people. And left the rest of the responsibility want to me. Communication with them is extremely poor And what is even worse is trying to get money after their tenants destroy the Property.

Homeward Trust needs to do better! They need to step up their supports and stop evictions! EVERYONE deserves a home, Housing First should apply to everyone. Their affordable housing tenants should be able to access crisis intervention and rental assistance. Eviction is not the answer to ending homelessness, it just perpetuates the cycle!!

Housing first doesn't work if you don't first address the addictions and mental health issues. Paying to move them each time they are evicted only costs more. Wont happen for me again, 3 strikes you are done as a company I will rent to.

We had 1mo left to pay for rent, HWtrust wouldn't help. We could've paid and got moved to lower rental. Now we're still homeless after 4mo. They took us off a program as well. We're still struggling!!

They attempted to help someone I knew a few years back get onto a better path, get off the streets, and get past the obstacles that were preventing him from getting back on his feet... They set him up in a decent apartment, furnished it for him, paid rent for three months, they did more then any organization I have ever came across with regards to help get people off the streets, but sadly they never addressed his mental health issues and he remained untreated and once the three months were up and he was on his own, he was no better off in an apartment he could not maintain or on the streets, his landlord evicted him, kept all his furniture and personal belongings, not allowing him to even try to get assistance or get his personal belongings back. He went into an even darker place in his head then he was before, and now I don't know if he is even alive, in jail, treatment, at his folks or back on his feet. Due to life's circumstances I cannot have him in my life anymore but I have always hoped he was able to get back on a better, healthier, happier, and more prosperous life... He deserves a safer, happier, purposeful life just as so many people do all around the earth. We are still plagued with so many terrible heartships, disease, famine, war, genocide, etc, There is far more corruption and far too much that is wrong in this world, no one is able to fix it as no one knows where or how to even start .. what happens next is a question still with no answers...

They work miracles through that place.Their programs are fantastic the people are too. Dealing with the overwhelming traffic they have going in and out should be first priority and I think it is. If your looking for help email them everyday to check in they get back to you that day if not that hour and keep you going inspiring you through the long wait list of others going through the same thing. If a situation has left you without shelter they would be the First Place I'd call as I know a few people who've been through it and are doing great today. Cheers toHomeward Trust ....Your doing a mighty fine job if I don't say so myself .Cheers.

Workers" from bent arrow don't advocate enough for their 'clients' at housing 1st.if they have THAT many to " help" why take on so many smh and not have to do more when things go down like how Eugene etc isn't contacting bk to them to get things going for someone!!!!~Just let's more time go by and is going to have Alberta works waiting before they decided to be professional and communicate ?Neither of these places should be around if that's how they are. Or should have complete turn over of all staff to run their programs right."
