Food was great and the portions are hugggeee. Everything tasted good especially mussels fries and lamb. I didn’t enjoy the steak as much. That was my least favourite.

Interesting rule. Ordered the Salmon. Asked for no rice. Was told I could not substitute another vegetable but would be given more of what ever the dish came with. As you can see I got 5 asparagus. They won't let you take out the rice and put in another vegetable? For $30 for this dish (small piece of salmon) and I am guessing usually 2 or 3 pieces of asparagus it's a bit ridiculous. After I said something I received 2 more asparagus. What kind of restaurant won't allow you to add vegetables instead of a starch...unless of course I paid an additional $10 for a side. Not sure how quickly I will be running back to this restaurant. Disappointed.

Great food and portion sizes, everytime I stop by they never miss. Friendly staff and very accommodating. Loved their take on a espresso martini. The burrata salad is one of the best things listed on the menu!

The warm mushroom salad was cold, small portion and for some reason the added chicken is not in the salad but on the side with a bone in it. The chicken was bland. the server was uninterested in hearing our issues, and was not listening. We would ask a question and she didn’t respond and would rush to the next table. Maybe that is why it is called “The Rushton”. So I would avoid this restuarant.

The owner of this establishment was exceptionally rude to both myself and my 5 year old son. When I asked, after 30 minutes, where my sons food was, I was met with extreme sarcasm and total indifference.I will never go back to the Rushton and would not recommend anyone with young children to dine here.

We had some rigatoni and a burger. The rigatoni was good. The burger was amazing! It was enormous, would definitely go back to try the rest of the menu!

Tasty Italian cuisine with great service and easy vibes.Partially offset by many flies in the restaurant. Conversation with the service personnel suggested they recognized the problem and were working to get it fixed, so this might be a time sensitive issue.

Been here several times. Always good. Today on patio I asked for shot and half pint before ordering my food. Server aMike" advised I had to have shot and a full pint. I said I'd be too drunk to drive. I asked if he couldn't fill beer glass half way

The Rushton is a neighbourhood institution. They've served generations of customers and they treat you like family. No nonsense service, genuine and thoughtful staff – and this neighbourhood is not an easy crowd to please. The food is consistently great. So glad it survived the pandemic – wouldn't know what to do without it!

I really want to start by saying I have been told many good things so am hoping our meal was just an off night. The French onion soup was great as was the mushroom salad and my friends mussels were also good. My pasta was bland though (seafood in white wine sauce). My partner asked for the burger medium and it was very well done and dry. Overall great atmosphere and good wine selection. Want to give it another go for sure.
