Golden Buffet

Best Asian restaurant in Owen Sound. We have been dining at Golden Buffet ever since it opened and we have no complaints. The owner and staff are polite and friendly. The food is fresh and always hot and the buffet offers a huge variety from soup, to the main course, to dessert. The restaurant is clean and provides an enjoyable atmosphere. Golden Buffet definitely deserves 5 stars.

Selection is not as great as other places, but it was still pretty good food. Especially the king crab legs.Service was incredibly slow.

Delicious sushi too and at great prices too. Don't believe any of the negative reviews posted here at all. This is restaurant that I regularly come to and always enjoy my meal. Food is always freshly made. And none of the hot dishes I have ever had were cold either. Highly recommended! :)Recently got food delivered to my home. Hot and delicious. The last negative reviewer in my honest opinion was not being truthful at all. Every time that I have gone to eat in the restaurant the food trays are always full with hot and tasty food. And I have never had to spend time in the washroom after eating the food.

It was great food and freshly cooked. I was also pretty excited about the sushi bar and there were lots of deserts and an awesome salad table.The staff were very attentive and pleasant to deal with but it got a bit creepy being looked at all the time by staff when they just stood there stared while they waited to clear plates from tables. Overall it was a great place to eat and I will defiantly return

Pleasantly surprised with this experience. Food was fresh and very frequently replenished. Decent selection and really enjoyed the crab and sushi. Would definitely go again. For a family of 5 this is significantly cheaper than one of the corporate roadhouses.

Good food, fresh & hot. Staff very friendly & accommodating, went above & beyond with service. We haven't been here since it became Golden Buffet. The previous owners didn't cut it, food was bad, service terrible. But we tried it today for the first time in about 3 years & were very happy with the quality of the food & the staff. Will definitely go back.

We do not come here often, but when we do, we seem to be always lucky with the food and the service. The kitchen staff keeps on enquiring wether the food is done well, and the used plates are always gone, when we come back with new plates.My favourit is the small sushi bar with it's simple, but very well made sushi and sashimi. At dinner time, you can custom order a huge variety of sushi, and and the price is included with the buffet.I have heard people complaining about undercooked veggies, but I but that is the healthier Chinese way of cooking.The bar includes salads, cookies, and cakes, pies, ice cream, and soups, bread, fruits and about 30 trays of main dish components.Of course for all of this included, you can the buffet price can not be on the low end, but but we find it's worth the money.

Restaurant was clean .... staff were friendly and attentive .... lunch buffet was good ..... limited amounts of food stuff but we were there at the end of the lunch buffet but just before the supper buffet so they weren't busy and they weren't keeping the bins topped up. Would go back but would ensure we were there closer to one meal or the other.

Great buffet ! It's really good quality of food and variety And the attention of the server was really good. the server was explained all the dishes, good atmosphere we love it!

Lovely buffet, always fresh with good choices; shrimp several ways, real scallops, mussels, Nice selection of sushi. Some fresh fruit, puddings & nice little cakes, Ice cream, cookies etc for dessert. Consistent quality even during the not busy months. Easy access from street & parking area maneuverable with a full size van even when busy. One of our few eating choices in this area. Staff is always friendly and helpful. Definitely recommend.
