only 1 person being helped and no one in front of me, it still took half an hour to get my pin changed.about 5 people behind the counter but I think they were mostly busy with malfunctioning equipment. My pin resent took about 8 tried because of finicky/malfunctioning equipment.Staff are doing their best with what they have but this bank(credit union) needs to use some of the many many many sneaky fees they charge to upgrade their equipment.

The people are wonderful but i went in to get change a roll of loonies and a roll of quarters. They shorted me 2 loonies and 3 quarters. Tried to call the branch but no one will pick up the phone and the voicemail sounds unprofessional and not even sure if she said the bank name in her voicemail and apparently she isnt working this week? I know the bank is open but no one will ever answer the phone? Dont trust that they can count because they can't.

Branch manager Gio was a huge help getting me set up on the app and new online system after the IT team botched the upgrade". He was a big help

I've been banking with this location for decades. I've rarely had a problem. All the tellers are very kind. Clean bright environment. The people in the back doing loans and accounts are very well versed in their work making the process fast and painless. Will always recommend this Credit Union for peoples personal and business banking needs.

There's been some bumps with the switch from First Calgary to Connect first such as the wait times on the phone increasing. Thankfully you still have the option to call your branch directly which is really nice. The 16th Ave (TransCanada) location in particular I think has absolutely stellar customer service. The branch manager there Jenny has really had my back when dealing with their credit card provider Collabria through some issues. I truly believe the staff at this location is top notch and always giving their best effort.I've also been living in Edmonton for the last couple years where they don't have a physical branch and it has never been an issue for me!

Have these bank tellers forgotten what customer service is or are they under-trained?!?We went in today to make a deposit 12 minutes before closing and we were the only customers. There was a storm raging outside and I was just thanking my lucky stars that we got in before it closed, when a female employee locking the doors early called out to the teller who was helping us at the counter said something and laughed very loudly. When I looked over, she stopped laughing. We were soaking wet from the rain and shivering from being so cold, so I felt terrible when she laughed out loud.We were standing between them and were very puzzled as to why the female employee had to laugh so loudly behind us.When the transaction was over, the teller threw the card back to us. I feel awful. So rude.

I’m from the Edmonton region looking to relocate down to Calgary in a couple of months. I booked an appointment with Calgary First through the phone via call centre.I asked 3 different representatives if it was okay that I had an Edmonton ID, all said yes.The day of my appointment, 2:00 Saturday April 3rd, location 540 16 ave NE attached to the Co-op.The financial advisor I was meeting with told me through email that they would not be able to process my request since I’m not within Calgary. At this point I’m already within Calgary 20 minutes away from the credit union.I called Robert Dale who was in charge of my account and he kept telling me he would not help me. Referring me to go to different financial institutions.I asked him if he could just try since multiple people within his company said it was okay.NOPE, he told me multiple times“It’s illogical you would drive down for this appointment.”Then“Do you not know how to read? Our business name has CALGARY in it.”And“Ive worked in this business for 5-6 years. Ive never tried to open an account from an Edmontonian but I can tell you it won’t work, it’s illogical.”This is in the span of 3 minutes. After the 5th time he made a snarky comment I snapped and told him“I didn’t ask for your ****ing opinion, stop making me sound like an idiot.”He then hung the phone on me and cancelled my appointment. Not only did he do that, I called the branch a couple of times after that and they would not pick up.This is bad customer service and I don’t understand why anyone would allow this to happen to someone. Made me feel like an idiot, wouldn’t do anything for me and then denies anyone in the branch to help me.I drove 3 hours down for this appointment.

Signed up with First Calgary at this location after being a long time Servus credit union member. The process was painless and the staff was friendly. I look forward to transitioning everything over to first Calgary in the coming months! The free unlimited account they are currently offering is unbeatable!

I actually quite enjoyed banking here for years, when it was first calgary then changed to connect first, not too many changes so seemed fine, I enjoy the small town feel here, tellers are super nice. But if you are looking for a small personal loan, just don't bother, seriously go to Scotiabank or BMO. I recently called to ask for rates to compare what I was offered by Scotiabank. After sending paycheck stubs, a letter from employer and multiple personal questions over several phone calls and many emails she said she'd let me know in a week? But then she wanted another letter from employer, ok, asked the boss he sent it, then she wanted an roe (which you only get if you leave a company) then she asks for another letter from my employer with the same information that's on the paystubs. Seriously annoyed my boss in the process, so not good. After expressing my frustration over what started as a simple question about rates and over the course of 4 days how I kept saying anything else you need, nope thats it. She kept forgetting to request things, also found it odd she needed any of it give me a rate? I said the whole experience makes me want to change banks. She said great come in tomorrow I would be happy to close your account. Really? Maybe instead, apologize for your lack professionalism, forgetting to askfor things and saying I should have known. And to top it off I am walking on eggshells at work. She really took what is a truly difficult and emotional time and made it even harder. So do I fully switch banks or drive 20 minutes out of the way to use a different branch, because if I see her I will probably cry.**by the way the Scotiabank process was super simple

I've always had a pleasant experience banking here, even when it was First Calgary. The staff have been friendly and efficient, and available to answer any questions.HOWEVEREver since First Calgary switched to Connect First, the banking app/online banking experience has become hot garbage. It feels like the systems go down for scheduled maintenance" at least once a month
