Good overall camping site. Nice view close to water. It has like beach feeling to it. Nice and clean. Has some train track noise near by and not enough shade and it can be windy. Washroom is limited and no shower system.Best to go here with RV or trailer otherwise little challenging with tent but possible. Since its private site you are close to your neighbors ;)Overall a great site to stay

This is a great place to camp and visit. Was exploring the area and came across this campground last fall which made our decision to camp here this year. Beautiful views and a nice quiet campground that isnt to large and busy. Trains do pass near the campground so that is something to be aware of at night but you are camping and enjoying the outdoors so that's what really matters. The beach, sites and pit toilets are clean and well maintained, there is also a tap with running water for dishes. The host was very helpful on our arrival and gave us all the information we needed to know. Missed out on the museum because we lost track of time on the beach but did arrive just before closing to get ice cream at the store which was worth the walk!

First of all, if you're a history nerd, nerd away! This is still a functioning farm, but with all the history kept intact. The staff are very knowledgeable and friendly, and the artefacts are fascinating, plus you'll end up getting a local history lesson without even knowing it.Bonus surprise: the little restaurant in the main building is quaint and delicious, with an outdoor flowered lawn area during the nice season. I honestly had the best roast beef sandwich in my life, with home made potato salad, cannot recommend highly enough. I'll probably come back anytime I pass through just for lunch.

A fantastic place to explore! Beautiful surroundings and cute farm animals. Their cafe is yummy! My son loves it here.

You can't beat the beautiful setting - the beach, the river, the valley are gorgeous! And the museum is worth exploring for sure! The only thing preventing a 5-star rating is the NOISE at the campground. Between the trains, the highway, the power boats and the campers' generators that all seem to echo in the valley, it can be a bit hard to relax at times.

Kilby Museum is a hidden gem. It is one of the best places to bring your kids for holidays and birthdays.

The person at the reservation desk needs a little work with her customer service. With The campground being closed due to flooding, we were unsure if it had re-opened. Tried phoning all last week and the week prior with no answer, and no response to my email. No Facebook updates, no website updates. Almost 2 weeks til our booking, we decided to book elsewhere to make sure our camping trip was still going to happen. Finally got through today where I was greeted with a snarky answer to all my queries. Not sure who you emailed

Nice little campground right on the river. The spots are very close together. Clean pit toilets and fresh water, no power. Bring a big mallet if you have a tent. The ground is very hard.

Hubby and I just got back from staying 3 nights… the camp hosts were very friendly and approachable… everyone always says good morning and chats with you when your out walking… theres the train that runs through quite a few times a day but hardly heard it..(and I’m a light sleeper) the views are breathtaking… and we can’t wait to go back!! Thanks for our amazing anniversary getaway!!! See you again soon
