One of my favorite places to visit. Great for taking the dog for a walk. Lots of geese, ducks, sometimes you'll see herons or other migratory birds.

A great place to take a walk in the afternoon and there’s often plenty of festive activities and shows on the beach in the summer time. Sometimes it’s hard to find a parking spots if there’s an event. The beach is very windy and it’s a long walk to the washroom so be prepared for that. You can see the mountain, the lagoon, some wild birds, lighthouse and the skyline of Victoria from here. And there’re some interesting animal sculptures on the beach made of wood.

Looking for a place where you would like to go on a lazy Sunday afternoon, enjoy some sea breeze, look at some birds and if you are lucky find some yummy food trucks.. the Esquimalt Lagoon is where you need to be. Though it's starting to get really crowded now !

A wonderful place to hang out and stroll along the water. Watch the sunset and bird watch/ photography. There are many driftwood sculpture installations along the middle part of the beach by a local artists who does it out of e goodness of his heart. Lots of parking as the strip is quite long with the ocean on one side of the strip of land and a migratory lagoon in the opposite side. Many picnic tables and driftwood logs to sit on. Being your bbq and picnic food! I have seen food trucks out here too but they are not alway there. ( thank goodness ! )

Fantastic place to walk and see Victoria, the Pacific fleet, and mountains in Washington state across the Juan de Fuca. There are lots of birds to check out and some amazing art installations. Lots of parking, also a fun drive. It's definitely an amazing walk.

A place where you can feel the relaxation that is not captured by the lens.. Children play with ducks and I play with the sea.

This was a nice little stop to take in the ocean / beach / lagoon and a pleasant steady breeze. Go for a little walk along the beach. There are some large and small bird sculptures created out of driftwood. Not a lot of birds, but I may have just come at the wrong time of year (May).

A beautiful view of the water, mountains, and the castle. We saw tons of birds when we were here, including a giant buzzard that was flying quite close! Drop by after the castle to get your dose of nature.
