Chronic Ink - Tattoo Shop Markham

My best friend and I had the most amazing experience with Tracy at Chronic Ink. It was my first tattoo and we hunted for an artist who was great at fine line tattoos, and we could not be happier with the result. We will definitely be going back to add to our designs. I was so nervous but excited as well, and she was so easy to talk to and guided us through the process. She made us feel very comfortable, didn't rush us and took the time to perfect our designs. We absolutely LOVE our tattoos! Thanks so much Tracy!!!

I had the pleasure of getting my first tattoo in Feb of this year (2023). From the booking process to the actual appointment I was served with friendliness, prompt responses, clear instructions and information. But the best part was working with Tommy Ha. He made my first tattoo experience very professional, comfortable and his work is amazing! I am so in love and definitely have the itch to get more! His artistry and professionalism are exemplary! Tattooed with Trace and from booking to service was amazing . She listened to my concerns and drafted multiple times because i couldnt make up my mind. It was my first tattoo and she walked me through after care thoroughly as well. Would recommend to everyone i know . The booking process was also seamless and i liked the constant reminders, and of course cleanliness of the place was great which is very important.

I had an ear piercing done at Chronic Ink in Markham and the experience was excellent! Ian was my piercer and he was very good about giving me time to choose my jewellery, ensured I was happy with the location of the piercing, and was thorough about walking me through proper aftercare for piercings. I have had challenges with piercings in the past so I really appreciated that he took the time to talk to me about the whole process and made me feel comfortable. The work was done very well, very efficiently, and the environment was very clean.In terms of the overall experience, I was able to book the appointment in advance through the website which was really quick and easy. I was greeted right away upon arrival, the receptionist was very friendly, and they took me for my appointment right on time. I was extremely satisfied with the level of organization from start to finish.I'll definitely return to Chronic Ink for future business!

Got a sparrow from Zeke and it was a great experience. I came early and they still needed a minute but came back and was kind and very professional. Very clean space, quality art, expensive but it’s with me for life so it’s worth it. Reception came up at the end though and started talking about the next client while I was still getting worked on which made me feel a bit rushed but Zeke was 10/10. Going back for another one soon and can’t wait because Zeke is the best.I have gotten 2 more tattoos with zeke and they’re just amazing. Super fun chatting and catching up.

I just had the most horrendous experiences with one of the resident artists there, Tracy, and the only reason I am writing this review is to save someone else from feeling as disrespected as I just was. Firstly, my appointment was booked (since APRIL) for June 12 at 6:30PM. My friends and I got there at 6:15pm. The receptionist, Em, informed me that Tracy is running a few minutes late and I might get started 10-15min after my booked and confirmed appointment time. We waited there for 45 minutes. At 7pm, 30 minutes PAST my appointment time, i see the other two clients and their pieces were clearly done; I hear Tracy and the other 2 people laughing very loudly talking about someone’s Instagram. We were sitting only a few inches away from her station. She then comes out and takes her sweet time taking photos of the previous clients. It is now 7:15pm, 45 minutes after my appointment time and an hour of waiting there. She did not even approach me or make eye contact to apologize. All she said at 7:20pm was “will be with you shortly”. She then moved us to her station and continued speaking to the previous clients at the checkout area. Unbelievable. Once they left, she came over, cleaned the chair, and said she will be back with sizing options. 20 minutes past and still nothing. My friends and I walk up to the receptionist and told her that we cannot wait any longer. Tracy was sitting right next to her. She didn’t even flinch. No eye contact. No reassurance. No apologies. Nothing. For wasting over an hour of our time. No responsibility at all for someone else’s VALUABLE time and energy. This is beyond anything I’ve ever experienced in my life. I have had other tattoos done at different places, at Chronic Ink itself both downtown location and Markham. Never have I ever been so disrespected. Emilia, the receptionist, apologized for this occurrence, but also mentioned that it is not up-to the artist, and that some pieces some times take longer than expected. We all understand that nothing can be certain. Anything can happen which could delay bookings. I work at a hospital, and I am well aware of any unforeseen circumstances that could randomly pop up and mess with the schedule. What I do not comprehend is how unfazed the so-called artist was. She did not care in the least bit that we drove 40 minutes, and waited for over an hour, drove another 40 minutes back… all for nothing?! I have been looking forward to this tattoo for several months and it was a memento of someone very dear to me that passed away recently. This experience was a meaningful one to me at least. Clearly not to her. I have never written a negative review. I understand the challenges that people can be silently experiencing, and God knows I do not want to salt someone’s wound. But this is totally unacceptable. I am writing this review to prevent someone else from feeling as frustrated and disrespected as I just was. I am shaking in my car with a pounding headache as I write this. If you are looking to get your tattoo, and you have booked with this “artist”, please be careful. Please watch out. Value your time and your energy and book with someone else. Trust me when I say that it is not worth this gut wrenching feeling of dishonesty, disappointment and disrespect. I hope the management at Chronic Ink sees this review and takes measures to take this artist off their roster as the reputation is not something I can see Chronic Ink striving for.Getting tattoos is always a significant experience, built on trust and respect with the artist. I do not think she is capable of that trust. I say this with the utmost respect, but if management is aware of such behaviour and do not escalate this further… not sure what will be left of Chronic Ink.

Horrible customer service, I got my piercing done there in Feb, I went on vacation last week and my belly button jewelry came out. When I came home from vacation I called them, they do not even answer their phone. I had to call them 10 times a day for 3 days straight, I finally went in person and I just see 3 employees sitting there chilling at the front desk. They said a piercer is not available but they can book me in. It’s the day of the appointment and now they said the piercer has an emergency…. My hole is definitely going to close now. Extremely disappointed and upset. Will not be going to chronic inc ever again. Had a good respect for this place but they ruined my experience.
