Minden House Cottages

My favourite Bed and Breakfast in the Minden / Haliburton area. Breakfasts are delicious and beautiful presentation by Lesley Elliott. The 3 rooms in the Victorian style house are immaculate, very comfortable and Air Conditioned, thankfully! Five cabins of various sizes, pet friendly, also air conditioned. Highly reccommende!

Great little Inn on the river in downtown Minden. The cottages come equipped with everything that you will need. Very clean. The hosts, Lesley & Gord are fantastic as well. Highly recommended!

Booked at last minute, Lesley & Gordon are great hosts make you feel welcome, We booked pine cottage that accommodated myself, my wife and our dog. Great cosy cottage with a very comfortable king bed. Had shower and kitchen, full size fridge and freezer, everything we needed was there wifi, satellite tv. Cottage is right on the Gull River quaint little village, with easy access to surrounding area. Will definitely return.

This is a great place for a break and a getaway from the city. Just off Hwy 35 and on the banks of the Gull River, these cottages are perfect for a vacation. They are well equipped and have all the amenities you need. The hosts Gord and Leslie are very friendly and ensure that your stay is pleasant and restful. The cottages are steps from the town centre and I'm sure that in better times the place is buzzing with activities at the restaurants and bars. We hope to come back here when the world is normal again.

We were lucky enough to stay at the Minden House cottages for a bit of an extended stay in April and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a clean, well equipped, and convenient accommodation. Gordon and Lesley are friendly and attentive hosts (they have a beautiful pup as well) and anyone would be most happy and comfortable staying with them. We will most certainly recommend Minden House Cottages to anyone looking for a perfect get away or a place for overflow of guests to stay while in Minden. Thanks Gordon and Lesley!! We stayed in the little Pines cottage for the long weekend, and absolutely loved it! Lesley and Gord are lovely hosts, and very helpful. Lesley gave us tons of information on what was going on in, and around, Minden. We had an issue with the coffee maker not working, but within 5 minutes Gord had brought over a replacement. The cottage itself was very well stocked with everything we could have asked for. It was neat, and very clean. It was perfect for 2 people. We borrowed Lesley and Gord's canoe and went for a canoe trip up the Gull River, so wonderful.The Town of Minden was a great place as well! We brought our bikes and biked around everywhere. We biked in the town, on the trails, and around everywhere. There are trails close by, and fun little shops in the town. A great brewery just opened across the river, with a beautiful patio, and there is a yummy Thai restaurant down the street. A short bike ride on a boardwalk trail, led us past a beaver dam (even saw the beaver) to grab our coffees at Molly's all day breakfast place. Highly recommend!If you are planning to visit Minden, then Canada Day long weekend would be the time to do it. For such a small town there were tons of fun activities. There was a fishing derby for kids on the river, a rubber ducky race to participate in and watch, a paddle boat race to watch, a festival with local arts and craft vendors, and food! Live music in the park, and fire works at night!We actually chose Minden because we were doing a training run in the Haliburton forest (half hour away), but ended up enjoying Minden so much!! Loved it!! We will be back!!Monika

Wonderful spot in a wonderful little town. My stays here have always been a delight, either in the guest house or the cottages.The hosts are lovely, generous, and very helpful. They accommodated the assorted dietary restrictions in our party with aplomb.I very much look forward to my next visit.

Our family had a great stay at Minden House cottages. We stay in 'marigold' and it was perfect for our family our 5, including our dog. The river was conveniently across the street for swimming and floating. Gord and Lesley were wonderful hosts and very accommodating. They were easily available when we had any questions. We had access to a canoe, floating tubes and our own bbq.The cottage was fully functional and sparkling clean. We would definitely stay again!! =)

Stayed in the Primrose cottage. Lovely little cottage, very clean and had lots of little extras that I wasn't expecting (utensils, pots and pans, etc.). Owners were very accommodating. Would definitely stay here again!

Our stay at the Minden House Cottages was everything we hoped for. It was close to the river, clean, comfortable and a wonderful little get-away from the city. The house was beautifully decorated and sparkling clean and the hosts thought of so many little touches around the house to make our stay to perfection. The cottages are quick walk to a brewery and restaurants, LCBO, ice cream and many other things to do in the area. Our group had a wonderful stay and would highly recommend these cute little cottages to anyone looking to stay in Minden!
