I recently bought 2 cans of paint from the restore. Ryan, the charming lad who cashed me out was very kind and made sure I had everything I needed. He didn't try to sell me out on more available products and just let me go on with my day. Due to this pleasant experience I will definitely return, perhaps even on a daily basis.

I used to like the restore, not just this location, but all of them. Nowadays, the stuff they get in they don't know what to sell it for because they don't seem to know what it's used for (such as tools) and overpriced almost everything. I still find the odd lucky find, and they have SOME good stuff for OKAY-ISH prices, but usually you are better of getting new or buying off of kijiji. I just don't go like I used to, and when I do, 9/10 I'm disappointed.

I am a bit torn, rating this store. They have a good size store, but mostly outdated furniture. Besides that, one can find here a small lighting section, a section with books, VHSs and DVDs and some sporting goods. The building material section is quite poor, but I always find little treasures. Today we bought a handful of books, and put a couple of bets in, for their auction by the book". They have an amazing doolhouse

I've been to the store lots. It's probably the best one I've ever gone to. Everything is well laid out and it's very reasonably priced

UPDATE: The vibe has changed a bit since ReStore moved to its new location (away from Muskoka Brewery). But it is still a good place to pick up furniture and building supplies and a wide variety of weird and wonderful odds and ends. Warning: Items move fast. ORIGINAL REVIEW: A fun, well-managed ReStore, it’s a good place to get rid of stuff and find new treasures. Lots of hardware and building materials, plus furniture, housewares, books, games, puzzles, sports equipment and regular sign-up auctions with antiques and collectibles.

Save the planet while you save money. This store has a surprisingly large and constantly refreshed selection of furniture, electronics and construction items. It seems that every time I come in there's a completely fresh inventory of new stuff. The staff are friendly, knowledgeable, and genuinely community-oriented. Community gem, especially for those on a tight budget.

Ever since they moved from their old location this store has gone downhill. I arranged to have a complete kitchen picked up. Sent pictures etc for approval. When they showed up they said they had too many kichens and wouldn't take it. A few days ago I went to drop off some pictures and despite the fact that someone was working they wouldn't take anything until 11:00Returned the next day and was told they had too much of what I was offering. The store has become a used furniture store. You used to be able to get diy materials but no more. Too bad.Moral of the story: Phone before you go. Or just don't go!!!
