Dr. Don is such an amazing health professional. The level of care I receive under his expertise is excellent. He is incredibly patient, accommodating, kind, and comforting. This is the best acupuncture clinic in the city and once you book a session you will never want to leave! I recommend him to everyone I know!

Dr. Fan was recommended by my girlfriend and I was extremely impressed. He was very thorough to determined what the problem was. I have shoulder problems that hindered me from going to the gym and had been an issue at work. I have my physio a few times but since Dr Fans treatments my shoulder felt way better. I will definitely be coming to see him with any issues that I may have in the future. Thank you again.

Dr. Fan is awesome! I have been going to Orient for the past 3-4 months for a hip injury. On my first visit he told me not to come back if there is no improvement or if I did not think the acupuncture was working. I have seen a gradual improvement over the past months as I only need to get the acupuncture every 3 weeks now as opposed to twice a week. He is very personable and easy to talk to. I highly highly highly recommend.

I have several herniated discs in my lower spine. During the Fort McMurray evacuation I found myself in Calgary and needing to continue treatment to ease pain and numbness. Dr. Fan was simply amazing. He took time to understand my issues, listened to what I had to say after treatment, and altered his treatment to get the best results from our sessions. By far, the best treatments I have ever had. I wish I could continue to see him. To whomever is reading this review, you can't go wrong here, trust me. From someone who has had treatments with so many people to end this sciatica suffering, Dr Fan is the end of the road, you have reached your destination!

Dr. Fan is hands down the best, most compassionate and knowledgeable acupuncturist I have ever visited. I traveled to Calgary from BC during summer 2019 (this review has been long overdue) for two weeks due to having to take my beloved dog to seek radiation therapy which is not available in BC. After the long drive, I had multiple quite severe pains along my spine and in my arms. I found Dr. Fan through google. He listened to my concerns and took down thorough history. He then applied his knowledge and experience to systematically figure out the best way to not only treat my symptoms, but also the root cause of my pains. After just 3 treatments, most of my pains subsided and the rest had much improved. I have not been able to find an acupuncturist comparable to Dr. Fan’s quality of care since returning to BC. I wish I lived in Calgary just so that I can continue to receive care by Dr. Fan.

I am blown away by the knowledge of Dr. Fan and his patience in providing explanations.I went to him for fertility reasons and he taught me more about my body than any class or doctor. He explained the best ways to chart temperature and ovulation and gave his advice on what he was seeing in my charts. He recommended supplements but doesn’t sell them (they were readily available from Blush Lane).He was thorough in talking through his acupuncture process in advance and gave a guided meditation during the session. He puts significant effort into making you comfortable.I got pregnant one cycle after my sessions with him. I’ll never know if it was truly the acupuncture that did it but his knowledge alone was worth it.

Words cannot describe how amazing Dr. Fan is. I will never go anywhere else for acupuncture. He genuinely cares about your complete recovery and take time to explain everything and make sure he is treating you to get the best possible results. I cannot day enough good things about my treatments this far, but am grateful to have found somewhere that has helped my back pain

I have been seeing Dr. Don 'off and on' for years. I get lower back pain quite often, wherein I am walking bent over just to get to his office. When I walk out, I walk out straight, it's just amazing. I have sent at least 20 people, if not more to Dr. Don, and everyone has had a wonderful experience with his acupuncture methods. He has been such a big help to a lot of people. My last experience with Dr. Don was a pinched nerve, I was off work for 2 months, went to see Dr. Don (plus my chiropractor for 'nerve flossing exercises') 3 times a week for about 2 months. I do not know what I would have done for the pain without Dr. Don. I encourage people who have pinched nerves to get on it right away, so that you don't have the horrible pain that I endured, and see Dr. Don, he does help with a myriad of other issues. Dr. Don is definitely the acupuncturist you need to see. He treats all of his patients with such respect and he also takes his time with you and he is a Dr. that takes one patient at a time. You never have to worry about a full office of people and the Dr. not having enough time for your concerns, he always has the time for you! If you are shopping around for an acupuncturist, I would not hesitate to highly recommend Dr. Don.

ACUPUNCTURE MIRACLE TREATMENT FOR OSTEOARTHRITIS PAINDue to osteoarthritis, I’ve suffered from lower back pain and neck and shoulder pain for many years. Finally, I decided to try acupuncture after trying conventional treatments and supplements. I started acupuncture treatments with Dr. Don Fan, of Calgary’s Orient Medicine Acupuncture Clinic, in September 2017 and completed the treatments in June 2018. I started seeing improvements in my lower back pain and neck and shoulder pain right after the first treatment. Dr. Fan explained to me that the acupuncture treatments would manage the pain and not cure the arthritis. At the end of the treatment, Dr. Fan gave me a few easy exercises to do at home in order to test whether to increase the frequency of heat pad applications on the affected areas and whether I needed to return for maintenance treatments. In August 2nd and 5th of 2019 I returned to see Dr. Fan since I was experiencing pain again and was not managing it well on my own; in just two treatment appointments, my pain was gone and I could resume my daily activities pain-free. Dr. Fan has always taken the time to listen attentively to my health concerns and has always given me excellent tips and advice on managing my condition.
