They did a wonderful job on my sidewalk and front step area - so much so that I had them come back and they did a courtyard in my back yard. Now I'm going to contact them and see if they can come back and continue the courtyard just a bit - they were great and the work is absolutely beautiful.

Great working with JP and his crew. Excellent consultation before the job and the job was completed on time and as agreed. Reasonable price. Sod looks great despite some very hot weather following installation. The secret is to water like crazy until it takes. Definitely recommend this company.

We have been utilizing the services of Fontaine Landscaping for the past 15 years for all of our landscaping needs including snow removal in the winter months. JP and his crew are very professional, their pricing is reasonable and the work is always completed on time, on budget and without any hidden extra charges. Many of the work crew have been employed with JP for many years and speak very highly of him. He does not appear to have a high staff turnover and it goes a long ways when many of his employees have been working in our yard year after year and get to know us. I have no hesitation in recommending Fontaine Landscaping for any of your landscaping requirements.

We dealt with them a few times in the past and were happy. I USED to refer them to family and friends. No longer willTwo years ago we did a massive landscape contract with them. They did not obtain permits they committed to obtain in the contract. AFTER I paid them, the city threatened to fine us. When I followed up with them, they promised they were working on it. I was not pushy in my follow up with them, giving weeks and months between requests.(We also have trees not planted or replaced they claimed was on back order.)At this point they won’t return calls, emails and texts and we are left to figure out what the city requires and how much it will cost to hire a second company to bring us to compliance.I used to refer them, but something in management must have changed. I would caution anyone considering them now.

We have used this crew twice in the last five years and they have done excellent work. Recently had our back yard completely re-done, and we truly valued JP’s visions and ideas. They were responsive to amend anything and the next year when our tree didn’t make it, they came back promptly to replace it. Sod looked great with some heavy watering for the first few weeks, and still looks good the next year with usual maintenance.Overall they are reliable, have fair pricing, and give friendly professional service.

Extremely disappointed in the service. We spent $$$ thousands on our entire yard from patio slabs to sodding most of the yard and after all the continuous watering for weeks when it was laid, many pieces never took. The patio slabs also have weeds coming up through the cracks after one week of being installed! We spoke with the contractor on these issues (who were contracted out by another company overseeing our project). We took pictures of the issues and they refused to address our concerns, leaving our main contractor to clean up and correct their mess. Their website states they guarantee their service and products, yet they do not stand behind these words. Very unprofessional in customer service at the least and they DO NOT address any issues resulting from their work. They did not put any edging where they should have been and refused to do so. We will never recommend this firm to anyone. Most of their crew spent half their time on the phones.

JP and his crew came to our rescue today and we are so thankful! Our cat ran up our neighbor's tree and was too afraid to come down so we called Fontaine Landscaping to help us out! They were here in no time and got our cat down from the tree immediately. They were a very nice and personable crew. Thank you so much,Fontaine Landscaping!!!

So disappointed in the service. I spent $2,300 last summer to have sod laid in my small yard. Despite continuous watering for weeks when it was laid, and fertilizer, it just never did well. It's not lush and green like $2,300 worth of sod should be! This spring, it's even worse. Despite the saturated ground from all the winter snow we had and now the spring rain and watering, it's still rapidly dying in sections while other sections are green. Definitely something wrong with those sections of sod. I spoke with JP Fontaine last year and again this week. Sent him pictures of the lawn. Their website states they guarantee their service and products for 2 years. JP states that warranty doesn't include the sod? Told me his sprinklers have been running for the last 36 hours straight and mine should be as well. How realistic is that? I feel it's poor quality sod, it wasn't done well, it never took off and I will never recommend this firm to anyone. I'm left with a $2,300 debt for a dead and dying lawn.
