Motel 6 Swift Current, SK

It was a pretty nice hotel for a reasonable price comparitively. When we checked in the front staff was not friendly. She did not smile once and spoke so quietly we had a hard time hearing her. The morning staff was better. Our room and the main floor were clean.

Clean and comfortable room and pet friendly...the front desk manager was very hospitable and helpful making both our stays a stress free visit. Motel 6 has done a great job reinventing itself in Canada and strives to provide a comfortable experience for the weary traveller. I will seek them out in the future and I hope they bring their new concept to B.C. as well. I also should mention compettivley priced as well!!

Well the rooms are pretty decent. All the typical things that you'd expect. Bed, TV, table, towels, soap, shampoo and so on (but no Kleenex?). Room was a slightly above average for a motel room. It had a nice more moders design and was clean. I was annoyed that the breakfast" is nothing but muffins. I have stayed at a few Motel 6's over the years and there has always been a better continental breakfast ( cereal

We checked into our room put our stuff down and went out for the night. We were at a function with a lot of people. We heard through the grape vine that they were staying at the Motel 6 & their rooms, sheets and much more were dirty. We came back to the hotel and checked the sheets.. sure enough there was hair & what looked to be pee stains on them. Looked around the room and it was dirty, dusty & broken beds. At this time it was 12:30 am, I called down to the front desk and the receptionist seemed annoyed that I asked for new sheets & bedding. WAITED 45 MINUTES for her to “find” us some new bedding cause the hotel was sold out. Finally I was fed up and called again. Surprise a shift change and the lady I spoke to- gone. The gentleman on the phone said he would bring me a set right away. He only brought a fitted and flat sheet for one bed.Next morning went down and spoke to a different receptionist. She said she was so sorry and would have someone go in and clean the room spotless for us today. (We booked 2 nights) We came back after not being here all day and beds were made…. Same sheets as the night before (they had ink stains on the side and we took note). WILL NEVER EVER STAY HERE AGAIN. DO NOT RECOMMEND.Every other hotel in Swift Current was booked and we literally had to stay here.

Glad they left the lights on! Rooms were large the bed and pillows were comfortable. If u have a room that’s above yours u will hear the person walking around.Rooms were clean. Parking is tight for trailer and truck. Will be back.staff we’re friendly helpful.

Very clean, safe, with a welcoming reception by manager. The room was great and love that there is no carpet! The man doing maintenance outside was the hero of my visit though - he literally jumped in a dumpster to save keys I dropped in there!

Motel6 in Swift Current exceeded my expectations. Great price; newly furnished; free muffins and free coffee in the morning. Price point is great for what you get.

Excellent hotel. Fabulous price! The lobby is clean and welcoming as is the front door area. Rooms are modern but very roomy. We had a full kitchen with dishes, glasses,etc. nice size fridge. Love there isn’t carpet! Wish there were more hotels along the Trans CANADA. Will definitely stay at Motel 6 when an option.

We got stuck in swift current during the recent storm with closed highways. Checked into the Travelodge across the highway but had to get out as it’s a biohazard. Daughter called motel 6 and they were able to get us a Room on short notice with the city filling up. We were so grateful.Room was clean and comfortable. Tims muffins for breakfast and delicious coffee.Thanks Motel 6. You saved us.

I would recommend this hotel for an overnight stay. We have stayed at this hotel twice in 12 months. Both bookings were for overnight rest during trans-Canada driving. The hotel is clean, quiet and the beds are very comfortable. We like the small fridge in the room that allows for safe storage of food you may have brought with you, for your journey. The staff have been very friendly and were able to lock our bikes securely overnight. This was very helpful to us. I don't think anything would have happened to bikes left locked outside ( it's a very safe and well-lit parking lot ) but it was good to take them in with us. Overall, a good stop off accommodation we will use again and would happily recommend based on our experiences. Nice breakfast muffins too.
