Dr. Carmen Purtscher helped me say goodbye to my beloved dog one week ago. Her presence was so kind and gentle. She did not rush the process, and took such good care of us both. She was so understanding and explained everything that was going to happen, and again as it was being done. It's so much nicer to say goodbye at home, where your pet is most comfortable, than bringing them in somewhere and adding a stressor to your last moments together. I was able to lay next to him on the bed, as we always have, and be with him for all of his last moments. This feels so much more natural and honours them. I can't say thank you enough. Days afterward I realized that the side of the bed she had to stand at was so tight next to a blanket box that she must've felt a bit squished. She never said anything, nor asked to move him, she just made it work. I can't imagine how difficult her job is, and yet she does it with so much grace and compassion for everyone involved.It was also very important to me that I bring my dog to the crematorium. I wanted to see him through the whole journey as far as I could. So, she was able to recommend where to bring him (Eternal Companions, Gloucester) and that was a good experience too.

Carmen did an incredible job of guiding us through an incredibly difficult process at our own pace, as gently as it can be. I feel like the at-home service is the least stressful way to see your furry family member through to the other side, for both you and your pet.

Booking was easy and available in the evenings. It was wonderful that Dr. Carmen was available at a time that worked so the whole family could be present. She explained everything as she did it and gave us all the time we needed with our pet. When she left with our baby she explained where she was going with him that night and the next steps in the process. Her staff are very caring and professional. The most compassionate and caring vet I have ever met. Would use her services again.

The decision to euthanize our senior dog was one of the most difficult ones we had ever made. There was no urgency to put him down other than an increasing decline in quality of life. After her examination, Dr. Carmen reassured me that although there is never a good time, this day was the right time. Upon reflection, this reassurance is probably why I'm not riddled with guilt and doubt 3 days later; and for that, I am so grateful.There is nothing great about putting down a family pet, but Dr. Carmen made the experience tolerable and pleasant. In one short visit, I felt like she truly understood our circumstance and our dog. She showed extreme compassion every step of the way, and was even enthusiastic about performing the euthanasia outside in our backyard when we suggested it - even though it was raining.If you're on the fence about in-home euthanasia, or going with Dr. Carmen, I reassure you that one of the toughest days will be handled with utmost care by Dr. Carmen and her administrator, Amy.One last detail: she was running late that morning and when she finally arrived, I looked out my window and saw her run/rush up my driveway. That little detail showed me how professional and caring this person was and I knew my dog would be in good hands.

We truly appreciated Dr Carmen’s timely, professional and caring at home service for our terminally ill beloved pet. She allowed us the time to say our goodbyes in a very sensitive manner. I would recommend her highly.

When it was time to say goodbye to our furry friend, we reached out to Lindenlea services as they were the only mobile vets available in Gatineau. Although this experience was one of the hardest to go through, Dr. Carmen's compassion and care made this sad event into a special last moment with our best friend. You can really tell she cares for the pets and pet parents. I highly recommend her services.

Dr.Carmen is a angel sent from above. We first met her over a year ago for our 14years old family dog Logan and she made the extremely hard experience so much more easier with her kindness, loving and understanding that we call her again for our 13year old Thor. Again, there's no word to described this beautiful angel Carmen, no words exist to explain how amazing she is. She is so kind and understanding of the situation, she eases the pain and its⁰ feel like she's going through it with you. She makes the experience so much easier with her kindness and her loving ways with u and ur family pets. She explain everything and she is so supportive in those painful time. We cannot imagine going through this with anyone else. She truly bring peace and compassion, something we need in that moment. We could say thank u every second of the day and it wouldnt b enough because Dr.Carmen as giving us more than we could ever explain in those moment. Dr. Purtscher and Amy were amazing through this whole euthanasia process. They took one of the hardest decisions I've had to make and made it so much easier on me. The care and kindness they provide every step of the way went above and beyond. They took care of everything and addressed any questions or concerns I had so all I had to do was spoil and hold my dog until the end. I absolutely, 100% recommend their services if you have to make that difficult decision. Dr. Purtscher and Amy... I can't thank you enough. You're amazing. You truly care and it shows. Thank you.
