Nice little location just off Centre St & 8th Ave in the Downtown core; pleasant atmosphere with a vintage feel to it. Serving staff was attentive & polite; making sure that our water was topped up for our tea/ coffee.Food was delicious; with a great portion size for what was ordered & prices so it didn't feel unjustifiedAll in all really enjoyed the experience & will be sure to go again in the near future

I cannot believe this place has 4 stars. We went for breakfast on Sunday. I watched a conversation between some guests and who I think was the owner/manager (yellow glasses). I told my friend I had a bad feeling so we kept walking only to realize it was the only place open so we went back. Terrible experience from beginning to end. The service was chaotic. The manager kept yelling at the staff telling them they weren’t doing anything right and go on about who had what table in their sections. Telling guests they were too busy. There were 8 tables and 4 service staff. It was horrible ti listen to. Dirty dishes piled up all over the back counter. The ice machine lid kept falling on the floor and they just picked it up and put it back on. I ordered a regular breakfast that had ‘cured ham’. One thin slice of deli ham does not count. No butter on my small piece of toast. My friend had eggs Benedict with the same ‘cured ham’ and an untoasted English muffin. When the server checked with us we told her our complaints and she said ‘oh sorry’ and walked away. No offer to fix it. She seemed terrified working there under the tyrant manager. We should have just left once we received the less than satisfactory food. Then my credit card had a weird charge for ‘Gramercy events’. Turns out it was this place. I am not even sure it’s a legit business. Don’t go here.

Great venue a short walk from arts common and jack singer hall. Had brunch. We all enjoyed our meal! Street parking or paid parking only.

Had a Mediterranean Omelette and it was yummy. The place seems family owned and if the two super sweet ladies who were helping me are the owners, I would come out here all the time if I lived here. Very nice place for breakfast if your in town. And the pepper on the home fries is a wonderful touch.

Come cross this unique diner while visiting Calgary this April. Right on stephan Ave, I came cross this diner one morning and decide to go in for a quick breakfastThe service was very friendly, and the interior of the diner is cozy and relaxing. I ordered a blueberry pancake and the taste was exceptional. I have to say it's one of the best blueberry pancake I have ever had. Coffee was delicious as well. If you ever visit Calgary, be sure to check out this little gem in downtown ❣️Thank you for the great breakfast

I fell in love with this place! It has a beautiful calm vibe. The staff was super friendly and attentive with our requests. Food is AMAZING, everything is so fresh and well done, food quantity per plate is perfect. I'm absolutely coming back if I ever visit Calgary again.

Walked in and immediately felt like I was back home in my small town. The atmosphere gives you cozy and welcoming nothing like the busy bustling atmosphere outside. The lady who greeted me was very pleasant giving me all the time I needed to figure out my order and explain anything I needed.The food was phenomenal. The waffles melted on my tongue and tasted of cinnamon with every bite.Definitely 10/10! And I wish I had gone every day I had been here!I will definitely remember this place for any other trips I make to the big city.

Great service, nice ladies who know their regulars. Food and pricing of food need work.... the carrot cake pancakes came in an order of two, with a pathetic amount of maple syrup and then when asked for more was charged for it, in principle, does not work. Was a hotel guest from around the corner and this seemed to be a good option. Will now know to walk a bit further to oeb.. I think this is where all other hotel guests come!

We had brunch in this old style cafe. Service was efficient. Their dishes were of sizeable portions. Excellent mix and flavours. It feels real homey and enjoyed a relaxing time at Blue Vinny Diner. Do drop by when in Downtown Calgary.
