Khao Yum Thai Restaurant
Just tried out this restaurant on local recommendation. I hope what I had was an accident. Stuff is really friendly don’t make me wrong, but the issue is the food, tooo oil. I’m the kind of ppl enjoy oil food but that one is toooooooo oil, can’t finish all of them since at the bottom of the dish is only visible oil with rich oil pho lol. Their curry tastes good and strong flavor, highly recommend if you order to go and you have more rice on your place, pretty sure you will enjoy it.

The food is awesome. The restaurant space is small. If you like a bit of heat, I highly recommend number 20 on the menu.

Khao Yum Thai Restaurant
My partner and I were very impressed and delighted by the quality of the food we had at Khao Yum Thai. I had the Gang Dang (red curry) with tofu and my partner had the Pad Kee Maw with beef. Both were absolutely delicious.The portions were generous and we went home with leftovers. The staff was very kind and we were served extremely quickly (weekday evening). I would definitely recommend this lovely restaurant!

The best Thai place in the Ottawa area. Small place with great food and wonderful service. Food was good and tasty. I will be going back to try the lunch menu.

My husband and I come here often for date night". We always get the Cashew Chicken (stir fry) and it is soooo good! Love the sauce...so flavourful. We also sometimes get the chicken satay which is excellent. The only item I don't recommend are the rice paper rolls that have way too much lettuce in them."

A very small, cozy and inviting authentic restaurant. The service here is so wonderful. The food was delicious, fresh, colorful with generous portions. Lovely classical music playing in the background. There is a charming outdoor patio as well. We ordered Por Pia Goong (shrimp spring rolls) and Gai Satay (chicken satay) as appetizers. Absolutely lovely. For our entrées we chose PAD Thai, Pad Sea-Eiw and Gang Ga-Ree Gai (yellow curry with chicken, potatoe in coconut milk curry) and all were so delicious and well presented. It is very busy, so you can take your chance and drop in, or make a reservation. They offer take out, which is quite popular. A truly delightful meal, satisfying in so many ways. Highly recommend. Air quality is fantastic with excellent ventilation and climate control. #localguide

Khao Yum ThaiA great little Thai spot located right in the shopping district in manotick, decent prices for the good quality food, I had the Tom Kha soup and Green curry, both were amazing, good portion sizes and right out of spices.Definitely a quality takeout spot, the interiors are a bit dated but overall still a 5 star, highly recommended!

First time at the Khao Yum: it's quaint and small, with its own parking spaces available. It was only open for dining between 5 and 8 pm, so it was a small window in which to dine.I started with the shrimp rice paper wraps and they were massive and awkward to eat. They were generous with the lettuce but sparce with shrimp: with only two pieces per half roll, the shrimp got lost in the wrap.I ordered the pad thai, which for me should be a benchmark dish for a Thai restaurant, and I was unimpressed. The sauce seemed a little heavy on the ketchup and was sweeter than I expected. The rice noodles were thin, rather than the typical flat noodles, and There were far more noodles than veg or egg. The shrimp, however, were plump, tasty, and more generous than in the wrap.My wife ordered the green chicken curry and enjoyed it.I will give the Khao Yum another chance but I'll order different items.

Khao Yum Thai Restaurant
This is my first time visiting this resturent in Manotick. We were with group of people so we got the chance to share and try multiple dishes. We order for appetizers the Gai Satey((Chicken Satey) and we also got the shrimps rolls. For the main course we got different curries. The food was amazing and the staff was welcoming.
