Highly recommend Tanis Emmett Wedding Style for your bridal alterations! Worth noting that they're in high demand (and for good reason) - so book as early as possible to avoid disappointment!A few years ago, I had bridesmaid alterations done at Tanis Emmett and they were wonderful, so I returned for my bridal alterations. My dress was fairly simple and didn't require any major alterations, but I needed my straps shortened, padding in the bust and the dress hemmed. Immediately at my first appointment, I could tell that I was working with professionals who knew their stuff. Most of my appointments were handled by Yanis and she was just LOVELY to work with. All of the staff that assisted were helpful and knowledgeable and explained the process behind the alterations and what the alterations staff were going to do. They all understood the structure of wedding gowns and were able to explain it to someone like me, who knows nothing about sewing or dresses, in a way which I understood. This gave me a lot of confidence in their work!At my second last appointment, I was second guessing my decision on fit and called the salon on my way home, worried I was running out of time to fix it. They were more than happy to set up another appointment to ensure I wouldn't be stressing about my dress and fit before my last appointment. I'm sure they do this all the time, but they handled my concerns with kindness and grace and were so very accommodating squeezing me in for an extra appointment.My dress travelled all the way to California for my wedding and TEWS was able to offer me a travel package. My dress was carefully wrapped and stuffed with tissue to ensure it retained its structure during travel. I was worried about going on a plane with it, but when I unwrapped my dress after arrival, it was perfection! Worth the extra cost to have the professionals handle this piece for you if you're travelling a long way or taking a flight with your dress.100% recommend TEWS, wonderful staff, excellent alterations folks and a wonderful experience as a bride. Tanis provided timely, transparent communication with pandemic brides. I booked my alteration appointments well I’m advance with a recommendation from Blush Bridal Boutique. It fit like the dress was made for me, the girls that worked with me were amazing!!The built in bustle that they created was complex as my dress had so many layers but my bridesmaids figured it out quickly and it held up all night! Thank you so much, it made my wedding day seamless.

Tanis and her team are the best!! They are so kind, talented, warm and helpful. As an out of town bride, the energy and excitement from Tanis' team made me feel like my best friends were with me at every appointment. The studio is also beautiful. They altered the length and made adjustments and changes top of my wedding dress. The alterations were beyond perfect and I could not recommend them highly enough! They also sell these wonderful kits with all the emergency needs you might have as a bride on your big day. It was super helpful! I also had my dress cleaned by Tanis and her team and they did a beautiful job!

The team at Tanis Emmett was great! They talked me through all the alteration options and made sure my dress was all set for the big day. They even accommodated me extremely last minute when I noticed a small tear on the interior of the dress, just days before leaving for my destination wedding. Highly recommend!
