Janus Academy

I have been involved with Janus Academy as a volunteer for many years. Amazing place, with amazing people. The work they do for children and families is phenomenal. Absolute great atmosphere to work in.

Janus Academy's Parent workshops are fantastic. I've learned a lot, and it has definitely made an impact on me as a parent and how I can help my child. Thank you Janus.

Our daughter went to Janus for grades 1 to 4. It was a difficult time for us, understanding the diagnosis and learning how to help our daughter to expand her abilities. Janus was a blessing, without this school and their capable staff, we would have been lost. It is a wonderful place and we owe everything to them!

Getting to watch this wonderful education program shape and evolve to be an even better place over the years is magnificent. The students gain the individual skills they need in order to become the best versions of themselves. Every family, student, volunteer and staff member feels like a giant family full of love and support. Staff love what they do and continue to work stronger and harder bringing new ideas to the environment to help support the students.

I have been involved with Janus in a voluntary role annually for many years. The work that they do is challenging to say the least. I have nothing but respect for the education and dedication they put into their day to day roles and would recommend there establishment to anyone in need of the specialty services that they provide.

I have been a Certificated Teacher at Janus Academy for two years. Janus Academy is a wonderful place to work. The staff here are friendly, kind, and helpful. They truly care about the students. There is so much support from the Education Assistants, Group Instructors, and Leadership Team, which allows the Certificated Teachers to create differentiated lessons to meet the academic needs of each student. In addition to meeting the Alberta curricular outcomes, students are given a learning experience that offers them many occasions to grow their independence and meet their own personal goals. It's an amazing feeling to see the students grow and Janus Academy offers an environment for students on the spectrum to thrive!

Janus Academy is a safe space for kids on the spectrum to be kids. The educational staff are a joy to work with and continuously have each student's development front of mind. If you are looking for a school that provides individualized instruction both in academics and in life skills and wellness, this is the place. Janus is the creme de la creme of specialized education.

Janus Academy is a wonderful cause that the whole community should support. The education that it provides kids with Autism is unique and unmatched in the province. The teachers and staff are wonderful and caring.

I began working at Janus Academy in September as a Certified Classroom teacher. My experience so far has been nothing short of amazing! I can honestly say I have never worked at a school with such an amazing atmosphere and caring staff! The staff at Janus are kind, patient, knowledgeable, and supportive; but most importantly they are all 100% committed to helping the students reach their full potential. When I first began here, I was welcomed with open arms and provided with training to set me up for a successful year. I truly feel blessed to be part of such an amazing organization, and to witness all the accomplishments the students are making!

Janus Academy has been such a blessing for our family, they really care about the kids that are enrolled and the families that care for them. They fully support the parents to help them to achieve the goals and dreams they have for their children. We have seen our child grow thanks to the incredible dedication and caring that the staff bring everyday. We are forever grateful that we have found this amazing school! Thanks for all you do.
