A jet pump in my house draws our water from the nearby lake and has worked flawlessly for many years. However, this month, the foot valve at the end of the exterior water line fell to the lake bottom and the pump then drew silt into the house's interior water lines. The system plugged up and I was unable to get any water to come out of the taps. To make matters worse, it was a Saturday afternoon, --- too late to have anyone come and fix the problem.Fortunately I was able to reach Shaun on the phone, just before closing time. He gave me excellent troubleshooting advice and I was able to eliminate a number of potential problem spots. However, the system was still not working properly.On Monday, I took the jet pump to Suncoast Waterworks in Sechelt and had it cleaned and serviced. Still, after I re-connected it to my system and turned it on, no water came through the lines.I then phoned Alex who suggested that the problem had to be a blockage somewhere between the pressure tank and the house filter. He convinced me to take apart all the pipes and check if they were clear. I followed his advice and after a couple of hours found a shut-off valve that was totally clogged with silt. After replacing that fitting, everything worked perfectly.I really appreciate businesses whose employees are willing to give advice over the phone rather than immediately saying, We'll have to come out and look at that." When i tried booking an appointment it was almost impossible as they would only do it by callback and with my poor cell service it didnt happen for weeks. I asked them to come fix the brown soft water i was experiencing and they told me it was under warranty. Then the guy who came didnt seem to fix anything and then they tried to charge me for it. Ive contacted bbb but suncoast never responded and still dont. Please use other services for your wellbeing.
