Prospect Cemetery
A narrow and super long cemetery, which is beautifully arranged, clean and well organized. Two roads lead through it and it has several nice corners. It’s a nice place for quiet walks. I came across two racoons. You can find there some war memorials and mausoleum too.

I visited here on the 4th of October. I cannot praise the staff enough for assisting me to find the grave sites of my relatives. I had contacted the cemetery previously by email and received plot numbers and maps. When I arrived at the office I was warmly welcomed and given more information to enable me to find what I was looking for. When I was out in the cemetery and a little bit lost I was able to ring the office and receive friendly and helpful information from a very patient staff member. I would like to pass on my thanks to all concerned. I hope that you may be able to solve the puzzle of the memorial stone

My only complaint about this cemetery is that there are no animal sighting warning signs. I tried to go for a walk through the cemetery in October but 5 minutes into my walk, a coyote appeared 3 metres away from where I was standing. I was on the paved pathway and so was the coyote. It did not move at all and was just watching me. I slowly walked back to the Rogers Rd entrance/exit to avoid getting chased. I understand there is wildlife around and we need to share our land; however, while I was walking back I called the cemetery and notified them of the spotting. The lady on the phone mentioned that they knew there were coyotes there, they have been there for years and are more likely to make appearances during certain times. Had there been a coyote sighting warning sign, I would have avoided walking through the cemetery on a fall evening. I told them that they should probably put a sign to warn people as this is a scary situation to be in for some people. I walked by the cemetery entrance not too long ago and there is still no sign posted. I would hate for someone else to go through the terrifying feeling of fear that I went through that could have been completely avoided.I love walking through this cemetery in the summer and will continue to do so. It’s well maintained and extreme peaceful. I will just be avoiding the cemetery when the leaves start to change colours.

I went here to try to locate the gravesite of my Great grandparents, and was very impressed by the condition of the grounds and the helpful staff. I dropped into the office and was given maps and great instructions on locating the marker and with the help of a friendly groundkeeper I was able to find the marker. This is also a pleasant place just for a nice walk.

For a cemetery, Prospect Cemetery is as good as it gets! Along St. Clair, there are large, abstract stones with poems carved in them. Inside the gate is a full-size group of statues illustrating the Last Supper. This Last Supper is beautiful, powerful, memorable, and very surprisingly gave me great calm when I saw it on a challenging day. This cemetery is significant to the St. Clair Avenue West Italian commu nity, and this is evidenced by the tasteful, elegant modern architecture; you might feel like you're in Tuscany. The grounds are well-kept and the smooth asphalt path north to Rogers Road, then Kitchener Avenue ending at Eglinton is a great place for a bike ride.

These are no maintenance clients,,,, SAD PLACE.....You could at least turn the water on for Mothers day and all special occasion days,,, knowing full well they'll have visitors,,,and cut the grass and weeds while you're at it...
