The South Campus of University of Waterloo competes the North Campus in living university life, offering most number of units for students to reside in a very close proximity to each other where there are 7 buildings, 3 highrise and 4 are 3 stories high.

Highly recommend staying here in the first year specially if you like cooking or prefer having a washroom in the unit. Very accessible. Super close to campus and CMH cafeteria.

Was there to check out the bench in memory of Larry Marks which was gifted by all the loving people that knew Larry and missed him deeply. This means so much to Jan and Gail and Mum, that he was lovingly remembered and always will be.

no AC in beck Hall... and you can only open a small gap of the window, it’s soooooo hot that I have to stay downstairs to avoid the hot air in my dorm in one o’clock in the night ... seriously??

The temperature outsideis only 0 degree. I am forced to stay in my room with broken heater that doesn't provide heat. It's not even legal

In my opinion, one of the best Waterloo residences offered by the school

Lived there for first year in Beck Hall. It could get loud and hot at times, but privacy and a kitchen made it worth it as the same situation would have happened in the other older dorms too. Not much of a social life in Beck or Eby, not sure about CMH or the smaller buildings. Definitely go for a traditional-style dorm if you want a more social experience.Food in CMH is absolutely great, I’ve graduated and I still come here to get takeout with leftover meal plan money on my card. Amazing variety, it’s quick, and most of it is completely customizable. Just double check the hours on UW Food Services’ website before you go, I’ve had a few surprises when Google says they’re open, and a staff member was really rude to me once when I didn’t realize they were closed and just approached the door.

Lived there for all of first year. To put simply: its not the nicest place to live on campus. You get your privacy, a kitchen, a decent" living space. Its convenient and close to the engineering buildings
